I've always wondered if human Damon thought about marriage/kids. Or that he ran away from these duties.

The 2x04 dream is the closest we'll get of Elena & 1864 Damon.

I think that considering the era he lived in, marriage was probably a concrete thought for him

Yes it was expected back then. He was a very sensitive young man...couldn't harm anyone.

He was so young and innocent, war was a trauma for him, he lost his innocence, and then Katherine... and for so many years he was so alone and lacked of love

Absolutely. Elena struggling with her corset. Or beating the boys with some sport (like archery).

Or horseback riding.
