Absolutely. Season 2 was also really good, even if DE didn't have many scenes. The story was just really exciting.

Season2 was good for the general storyline, when they still knew how to write Delena was ok-ish, not enough scenes for me though

5x02 kiss was still one of the sweetest ones, I just adore them, they had those happy smiles on their faces, they were so in "honey-moon" Loved when she saved him from Jesse too, so badass, saving her hubby

Yes season 2 lacked DE...it was my least favorite season for Delena. But it was, storywise, one of the best.

Season 5 surely had some powerful moments. Or the "you are my life" quote. I melted.

He was so vulnerable when he opened his heart to her like that, one of the most emotional scenes for them, he was so sure of his words, he left her speechless and so happy

I really needed Damon to say something powerful and "boom" there it was. Season 5, with all the messy stuff and toxic crap, surely showed how much DE loved each other.

Yeah that would have been believable. They also skipped DE's honeymoon phase in season 5 (first episode aside), and showed it in season 6.

Of course...it's never enough. They could have done so much more with DE. A pity that their first date scene was so short. They were so awkwardly cute, even if they already had dex. Just to think that JP planned a waterfall scene for them.

Unfortunately, people already complained about too many DE scenes. But yeah, I found those romantic moments actually more valuable than DEX scenes (as much as I love them).

Yep, that was the alternative before they decided to do the rain scene. A waterfall kiss.
