 Here are some goodies from afterelton. 'The next morning Elena calls the Salvatore manor to check on her recently-suicidal boyfriend. She gets Damon instead and they have a fun, friendly chat.' 'Damon locks on to Elena, shifts into his no-façade demeanor, and with great concern tells her she doesn’t have to see Isobel if she doesn’t want to. Stefan actually picks up on the sincerity for a change.' 'He said that I wasn’t to come to his town and “threaten people he cared for.” Really Damon, which “people” would that be? Obviously you’re smitten with my daughter but what other mortals? Surely not Ric?' 'Finally, Elena just demands the device. Damon says he tried to kill Bonnie so he doesn’t trust her. Elena says he can trust her. He stops and looks at her for a bit and finally he forks it over and she thanks him. Stefan looks on and slowly realizes that all the times Damon has “pretended” to be nice to Elena he wasn’t pretending and that the last time he was this agreeable was with Katherine. All of those “our girlfriend” comments Damon has made start to come back to Stefan’s mind and he starts to feel a little woozy. He expresses all these feelings with one good boggle.'  'I get the stupid device, and then explain to her that the reason she was able to pry it out of Damon’s grasp was because he’s in love with her. I think I heard some teeth grinding when I said that; not sure. Damon looked a little WTFBBQ? Was he really that unaware? No, no he couldn’t be. He must have subconsciously been in denial.' He recaps the Isobel scenes from her perspective, they are the ones that are in italics. __________________

I did like seeing a different side to John in this ep though. Whatever he does, he is trying to protect Jer and Elena.

Yeah, the diffrent side of John was totally visible and I liked that too. It's just.. Damon's off limits.
Hah. But there's nothing to worry about, everything's gonna be alright!ITA. Killing Pearl was no good. Anna was in pieces while showing up at Jer's bedroom. It was heartbreaking.  __________________
