Yeah, it's super creepy. And it's pretty sad that Alaric can see shes not over Stefan and he still wants to marry her. I just dont get why they can't just be good parents to their "kids".

Matt and the cop were pretty cute in the flashbacks, however, we didn't see enough of their build up for me to really get invested in them, but it was really nice to see him happy for once. But seriously, can his life get worse? Why doesn't he just move at this point? I did enjoy the matt/stefan scenes though.

I'm not happy about the end for Damon. He's always getting screwed into these "Bad guy" storylines. eh.

In general I found the episode pretty boring. After an hour I just sat there trying to remember what even happened. It just dragged for me.

Agree. Like why does Alaric has to bee with any of the trio woman in Elena, Bonnie or Caroline. lol I remember at the beginning of the season there was speculation that Bonnie and Alaric would be together... thank goodness we didn't see that.
I just can't see it and I'm a person who doesn't really have the biggest issue with age difference... but in this case, I'd rather Alaric with a woman who isn't a part of his "daughters" friendship group.

I agree with you with Matt and Penny. I liked the scenes but I didn't really feel too sad... and like you I did enjoy the Matt/Stefan scene.

I agree about Damon actually. lol I just knew that somehow his plan was going to go horribly wrong. However, I felt Damon should've been smart enough to know he shouldn't have trusted Rayna... although we know when it comes to someone he loves or truly care about, he act first and think about the consequences later.

The episode was a bit of a drag but I feel storyline wise, this is the most intriguing it's has been. Which is why I said "best TVD has been in a long time" I just like all the storylines even if the episode is moving to slowly for me.
The ending scene was the best part about the episode... oh and the promo for next episode was amazing!

This entire episode was a sht on Stefan episode... it seems the entire plot of The Vampire Diaries is to make Stefan miserable, because this kid never gets to be happy.

I don't care about anyone else... in fact I am looking forward to Bonnie going all 'killer happy on their dumb asses' next week. She deserves to beat the hell out of them.

Stefan was running from Penny, Penny was running after Stefan, and Matt apparently shot at the moving shape (lol...awesome cop skills, Matt!) which he knew was a vampire and hit Penny instead.

I do find Alaric/Caroline's relationship to be quite creepy. It isn't that I think he is too old for her...it is the fact that he was father figure to one of Caroline's best friends, and that for all the other years of the show he was a father figure or at least filled "the uncle" role. So to have him having the hots for Caroline now is really weird. I can imagine how the relationship might change that way when he sees her with his children all the time. I just blame the writers for writing that terrible story of her getting pregnant with his kids in the first place. I don't see how they could EVER show a love scene for them (*gag*)...but I'm pretty confident it won't go that way anyway.

Stefan does in general really get crapped on in this show..in later seasons anyway.

I do think Bonnie and Enzo have good chemistry. But I always think Enzo's storyline/characterization is full of holes. It seems they just use him to fill in the gaps in whatever storyline they need him for. Spends his time adoring Damon? Sure. Spends his time mooning over Caroline? Ok. Spends his time tormenting Stefan for Damon's sake? Er...Ok. Spends his time loving and serving Lily? Ooooook. And now he is on to loving Bonnie? They've just jumped around too much. Especially when he is supposed to be such a constant, devoted type of person. And it really is a shame, because I do think Michael can act.

This was a pretty good episode, but a couple of things confused me. How did Bonnie end up at the boarding house with Enzo & Caroline? I thought Matt banned them. And if it was so easy for Bonnie lock up the entire Armory, why didn't she just do that 3 years ago? Don't get me wrong, I loved the Tale As Old As Time they were telling with Bonenzo, but talk about a long walk for a short drink of water.

I would have rather seen that then Caroline/Alaric....

Thankfully we haven't even seen them kiss. Caroline has chemistry with everyone but I just dont see the alaric/caroline thing at all. It's definitely awkward. Even more so because Alaric knew S/C had a thing. It's just creepy. It's like hes projecting all of this onto her because she carried his babies. Just... yuck.

I just wish it has been purely a "family" situation but to see Alaric actually having feelings is just... I hope its over soon.

That's so true! But thats why i kind of find it believable he does really care about bonnie because he obviously cares for people pretty easily.

I personally though have never gotten into his character and every episode i kept wondering "when are they going to kill him off?" and they just kept bringing him back. He's one of the "main" characters on the show that i tend to forget is actually a main who has been around for quite a while. I'm not really sure why they promoted him because he's never been that interesting of a character.

but you mentioned a good point, i was surprised they didnt go with alaric/bonnie and caroline/enzo, considering they teased the enzo/caroline thing for so long and there was literally never any pay off there.

and i wish i could answer your question but i honestly stopped paying attention to the details a long ass time ago.

i only really watch for stefan at this point and stefan/caroline, which has been lacking.

Not me, because for me it would have been the same situation.
Elena and Bonnie were BFF's as well... so Alaric with Elena, Caroline and Bonnie all would have gotten the same reaction for me. lol No need for him to be dating any his "daughter" friends who is Elena's age. lol

It's not even the age thing though because I've shipped people with huge age differences... I mean Stefan and Damon are technically way older than everyone.

Just not feeling Alaric with Caroline or anyone from the trio on the show. He is good being with people like Jenna or Jo.





Even though I've felt that Enzo has been a pointless character most of the time. I actually like him a bit this season. As shown, Enzo is a character who just wants to be loved.
Also I find the Bonnie/Enzo relationship believable because it happened in a span of three years, he didn't just fall in love over night.

He loved Damon as a brother because of the torture they went through in the past.

He loved Lily because she did sire him and he really loved how she was and in his eyes, she was the only one who didn't betray him.

So I don't see that Enzo is loving anyone quickly, all the relationships has been establish in their own ways even if we didn't like it.

Enzo was mooning over Caroline but he never truly fell in love with her.
Everyone can have their crushes, it doesn't mean they are in love.

I don't think Enzo crushed on Caroline either. He was in love with Maggie in season 5 when Caroline and him hung out a few times. And in season 6 he was just lonely and stupidly jealous at the loyalty that Stefan got. I think that was more a good vs evil vampire thing. Well tbh he comes across as a plot device so some of his motivations don't make sense But I never got the vibe that he really liked Caroline and just likes flirting in general.

Yeah, I was never sure whether he just liked Caroline as a friend/liked being around her or whether he had a crush. My view was that it was a crush. The only reason he didn't want Caroline when she came on to him that time was because she had her humanity turned off, and so wasn't really the Caroline Enzo cared about. I think he quit thinking of her that way around the time he realized she was in love with Stefan. Then the jealousy came out of how everyone chooses Stefan (and by everyone, I mean Damon. )

I actually like Enzo quite a lot as a character (and have enjoyed watching him every season, no matter what crappy storyline they give him) and always felt like he was just misused by the storylines. Maybe it is just Michael I like, or maybe I just like Enzo's devotion and desire to love and be loved.

So mainly I'm just frustrated that they didn't use/treat his character better...I feel like they never had a really strong vision for what they wanted to do with him.

thats how i feel about matt.i love him, most people dont. but he just gets the worst storylines!
