7x10: Hell is Other People - January 29th

DAMON'S PERSONAL HELL — After finding himself on the wrong end of Julian's plan to avenge Lily's death, Damon awakens to find himself trapped inside the Phoenix stone, tormented by a traumatic experience from his time in the Civil War and forced to face his darkest demon in order to get out. On the outside, Bonnie is in a race against the clock to get Damon out before the effects of the Phoenix stone take over and leave him changed forever. Stefan, Caroline and Matt also appear.

i liked the episode in terms of character development for damon but for the most part it was kind of boring. i didnt like the repeating storyline, it just wasnt that interesting and it seemed clear they really didnt know what to do for an entire episode.

the ending was a bit of a

though. surely none of them are dead right?

The Damon scenes I watched on Youtube were ok, Ian rocks in them

The episode no idea, since I don't watch the show anymore

From what we know for now they should be

If the plot-twist will be them being fake, that's another talk, but tbh I don't see the point in making also them fake

I agree that it was nice to see Damon in a storyline for a change. He's just been there for most of the season whinying. But it was a let down and got boring quickly. I was excited because when Katherine pitched up and Damon was watching her feed on people and compelling them and being more fascinated than disgusted I thought he had a naturally dark side which was a result or development from war but it didn't play out like that. And since Lily is such a new character who I don't like I was let down.

After last week's episode I'm leaning toward the FF being Stefan's personal hell. I was 50/50 before but now I've been convinced enough that they aren't real.

I'm still a bit puzzled on why they should be just his hell, since they're so focused on everyone, but the huntress thing seems very linked to Stefan, so I guess it can be

^ I think they can still do a real timejump since Bonnie had a FF unrelated to Stefan. But most of the FF's have been Stefan related. Some think that means Stefan's been in the stone for 3 years

But there are just weird things in Stefan's FF's which make them hard to believe they're real. And I thought it was just typical TVD logic flaws but after seeing Damon's hell I'm convinced they're intentional.

Wow, I hope for him not, that'd be too much, think fo all the time he woudl have missed

So you think the whole huntress thing is just a hell's hallucination, so Alaric's twins and Caroline's future?

Besides the time he'd miss think of the suffering of repeating the same day over and over. In one of the ffwds Alaric is keeping note of the time and tells Damon it's been 23 minutes or something and they were in a hurry. Some people brought up that there's a book called 23 minutes in Hell which could have been a clue. But if the hell rounds are so short imagine how many times he'd repeat them in 3 years

I think the present is real because Damon took elements of reality and used those in his hell. So Stefan might be doing that. Like maybe Calaric do live together but the engagement was configured in his hell.

Why I can picture the writers being so sadistic and actually do it?

Man, none can catch his/her breathe in this show
