caroline is getting attached to alaric's babies. which is totally understandable since they are growing inside her.

so we finally learn more about our future flashes. matt is still alive and has a girlfriend (my guess its the officer that pulled him over for drinking) and he is working with the huntress???

so did damon actually kill elena and tyler for real? or is that another hallucination ?

Clearly Damon killing Elena and Tyler is not real since they both were seen in the flash forwards. Well Damon locked himself in a coffin in episode 7x01 expecting Elena when he awoke so... yeah. It's either not really Elena, or the flash forwards a part of another hallucination ...
I know Tyler was a part of one of Stefan flash forward, so this Damon burning Elena coffin is just a waste of time.

IKR. They should put a spoiler alert before every flash forward because all it does it take away any suspense in the present. We know they can't die because we've seen them in the ffwds already. They seem so pointless unless they're fake.

Even if the flashforward didn't exist, they would never kill Elena this way.

Tbh I think the FF are the most stupid way to handle a show, they take away half the surprise and the suspance

I think Tyler tricked Damon and the coffin was empty, he kept underlining how much Damon made him promised to make everyone including him stay away from Elena, to keep her safe at any costs, and he already had a vervain gun ready to be used, it's suspicious

Just bringing this over from the spoiler thread because I'm feeling lazy today to type this again.

FFs can be great if handled by good writers such as How To Get Away With Murder. They give you little pieces of the future where the characters are going though some *****ty stuff and we keep on wondering how they got there. Though out the season we get more pieces of the puzzle and in the end it all fits together perfectly. But TVD's are just coming across like spoilers.

That's my point "if they're handled well" and here are not to me, they took away half of the surprise in many scenes, and even if I still watched the show, I would actually be intrigued by FF's revelations All the deaths (which already are not shocking anymore in this show since we know everyone come back regardless) are already proven fake, all the fights or not fights we can already guessed how they'll end sooner or later, unless like you said the FF will be reveleaded to be something else, I think they were handled bad Probably ot would have worked better the opposite way, making the "3 years from now" Sl their present and used FB to show how they arrived to that point

i still love this show, even though elena is gone and i hate the heretics and caroline/pregnant storyline, it still gives me good feelings.

i liked the S/C stuff of course. alaric/caroline are cute but i only see a friendship there.

the bonnie/matt stuff was cute i love their interaction. I just wish they would allow matt to let go and have more fun because hes always such a downer. i really love bonnies interactions with the other heretic too, shes the only one i sort of like because shes pretty. ... bonnie is the true MVP this season i really like her. and i used to hate bonnie so the writers are doing a good job.

i found the stefan flashbacks so weird. it just didnt feel like the right place for them in the episode? stefan should have had his own episode just like damon did. and did Damon seriously burn Elena's body? We saw her face in the casket.... i realize he mentioned her in the FF's but we dont even know if those are real or not. i am assuming they are though because otherwise there would be zero point.

matt/caroline matt was so hot in the last scene. i hope the cop lady isn't his g/f?!

Ah. I'm glad I came in here. I don't really pay 100% attention and I completely forgot about the flash forwards with Elena and Tyler. I was freaking out. How embarrassing.

I liked this episode a lot, its one of my favorites from this season for sure… maybe my favorite one yet.

I love that Damon saved Matt first but it would have been more realistic for him to save Bonnie first. And didn’t he snap Matt’s neck?

The Stefan/Damon scene at the start of the episode was really cute. I loved when Damon asked for his bro hug. I loved all their moments throughout the episode actually.... The one thing I enjoy about this season is the amount of DS stuff.

YAY TYLER. I loved seeing him again, I actually missed him and he made the show feel more like the old VPD for sure. It was cute that Caroline invited Tyler to her baby shower. I LOVED the Matt/Alaric/Tyler scene so much. I also enjoyed the Tyler/Damon scenes. WTF was with Tyler’s security though on Elena’s body? What a crappy hiding place.

Caroline worrying about “handing the babies over” to Alaric was annoying. I wish she didn’t feel such an attachment to them. Just let him go to Dallas and take the girls with him!

TBH Julian doesn't seem all that bad. I mean, he didn't even kill DS, even after Damon killed his friend? He seems pretty tame for a villain. Glad that he will be out of the picture next week though and they can focus on the huntress storyline.

I loved the Bonnie and Matt moments so much! I love that the dating site matched them together . Too bad Bonnie wasn't his future girlfriend. I loved seeing Bonnie’s witchy side and Matt as a cop this episode. Matt/Penny were okay but nothing special there.

Stefan and Caroline’s first date at the restaurant was really cute. It just sucked that Stefan was struggling and that we didn’t really get to see it in present time. He should have gotten an episode first before Damon did. I wanted to see Carolines struggle with him in hell. The SC phonecall was pretty cute but I’m getting a bit tired of the phonecalls. lol. But Damon whiplash comment was hilarious and cute. I loved Stefan’s reaction. I loved that Stefan said Caroline was his constant when he had all the visions from hell. Their scene at the shower when Caroline said she wanted to help Stefan was really adorable. I just love how she fights for him. Finally some nice batch of scenes for these two!

I also enjoyed the Noora/Bonnie scenes. Lots of good interactions this episode. And we finally find out about the huntress in this episode but the explanation was a bit weak. It just kind of produced out of nowhere. The FF in this one was great though. I like that it was at the end of the episode, I think it makes lot more sense to see it there. It finally ties together and we find out that it's the huntress hunting Stefan. (but again, the flash fowards seemed silly because they really didn't reveal anything that important lol)
