6x17 - A Bird In A Gilded Cage - March 19th

DAMON TRAVELS TO THE 1903 PRISON WORLD — With the help of Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Kai (guest star Chris Wood), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) set forth a plan to rescue Damon’s mother Lily (guest star Annie Wersching), who is trapped in the 1903 prison world. Meanwhile, when Caroline's (Candice Accola) plan for Stefan (Paul Wesley) backfires, she is left to pick up the pieces. Elsewhere, back at Whitmore College, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Alaric’s (Matt Davis) attempt to reel Caroline back in doesn’t quite go as planned when they realize they're outmaneuvered. Lastly, an unexpected gift from Bonnie leaves Damon shaken to his core.

Didnt think my girl Bonnie had it in her. I like Kai<not Bonkai> so i hope he returns but i am happy that Bonnie got some payback!! Yasssssss!

I guess I was the only one who didn't feel in the least bit sad for Kai

I hope he is gone for good.

DE scenes.. really blech.. not enjoyable. I preferred last week when they didn't share a scene.

Damon and his mom... very interesting. CAN NOT WAIT FOR STEFAN/MOM/DAMON SCENES!!

SC were funny... I am not a very big fan of this No!Humanity storyline for them, but I enjoy Candice and Paul's chemistry a lot and I like the no @#*ts to give attitudes that they have.

Loving Bonnie more and more

The beginning had me cracking up. It's not too often that TV really makes me laugh out loud, but i was dying watching what first went down with Stefan and Caroline.

I'm definitely bored with DE lately. Just not exciting anymore.

I think it might actually be a crime to hate Bonnie.

I don't think they'd just kill Kai off like that though. At the least, those vampires would have to keep him around to stay alive. Seems like a harsh way to live out the rest of your life. I think no matter how much Bonnie hated someone, she couldn't allow him to go on forever living like that. That's pretty harsh. And really, that makes her no better than Kai. Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't think she would have gone that far if she knew what she was really doing to him.

For once i want Bonnie Not to give a <bleep> I like Kai but i have ZERO sympathy for him and if Bonnie keep him over in prison world like he did her and for eternity i wouldnt be mad at her. Good for Bonnie, my girl is tired if being Penny Pushover.

She got payback before ... with Silas. This is not a new thing. I loved that she got revenge on Kai and was ruthless but I fear that the writers think this is enough of her attitude because she got closure and we will go back to the "old"Bonnie.

Lets hope not i love this new Bonnie so far. As for Silas that wasnt good enough. He killed her father right in her face then had this arrogant attitude about bygones. She just allowed nature to take its coarse with Silas by not helping him. With Kai she got payback blow for blow I LOVED IT!

Same here. She was too calm and happy over closure, even though she shouldn't be if her PTSD story isn't over. I'd be surprised if the writers continued to focus on her pain. I think she'll be in the background for the rest of the season, helping Damon with his mother and Elena.

I don't mean anything by it. I was just trying to be funny, I swear.

I'm really happy that Bonnie is finally having some real screen time. I hated that she was trapped in the prison world because there was only so much they could show of her. It's about time we have a good Bonnie storyline.

And I don't want her to go back to her old self. I like bad ass Bonnie.

I agree that the writers will probably focus on her pain for the rest of the season. Getting revenge on Kai isn't going to fix her instantly. That's not how life works. She has a lot more to deal with, I think, but that's going to make for some really excellent Bonnie moments to come.

i know i hated him at first, but now i ended up really loving his character. i felt bad that he go trappd in that prison demention again. im not ready to say goodbye to him yet. (when does he start his new show cordon? the new julie plec series coming to the cw)

i loved the steroline scenes. even though i do not like caroline without her emotions.

damon and his mom was great. but i am so looking forward to damon/stefan and mommy dearest together.

liked the twist they did with the sarah salvator character at the end.

Chris posted on his twitter earlier this week that it was his first day on set of Cordon.
