This part. When Stefan told Elena that you can't be in love with someone and friends with them at the same time I thought about Steroline and hoped that he'd get proven wrong.

Yeah and we can blame the writers for that - since Liz guilt tripped him.

It's one thing if this meme is going to be used. If it is not, how long are you going to go around being annoyed with that screwup?

I don't think what Liz said to Stefan made me think "oh, the only reason why Stefan will get with Caroline is because of Liz." Liz asked Stefan to be "someone to help her move on with her life. Someone to make her smile." That doesn't have to be as a romantic interest - best friends do that as well. Besides, whether or not Liz said that to Stefan, he would have done those things anyways so I don't find what Liz said that influential or to be a catalyst to a possible SC relationship. I think they're spending more time together (which Stefan was trying to do after he said sorry to Caroline but before Liz showed signs of being sick) and starting to recognize more things between each other because of it.

Not my favorite episode but Bonnie, Jeremy and DE were the standouts for me. Also, I really like Sarah and just want Enzo to leave her alone. Glad Matt had some screentime.

The episode def. felt like it was setting up things for future episodes but because of it, this episode rang flat except for a few scenes.

*shudders* I was infuriated by that SL! So far, this one is just annoying and a waste of screentime. Enzo needs an actual hobby doesn't involve corrupting a perfectly sweet girl.
