I did enjoy this episode more than the others though but that could be due to the Christmas theme and the group all being in one spot.

SC were sweet at the start and Stefan with the girls was uber adorable. I was pretty irritated that he was stuck with Cade most of the episode considering he supposed to get one last day with Caroline. She also didn't seem that upset he was gone but I guess there wasn't much she could do.

THE SECOND KISS WAS SO CUTE AND I LOVE THAT WE GOT A MISTLETOE KISS!!!

I hope Alaric really does take the twins away so we can see Caroline having some fun again. Though it sucks for Caroline losing Stefan AND her kids in one day? And on Christmas no less.

WHY DID WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH SYBIL IN THIS EPISODE WHYYY. Can we be Sybil free for just an episode??? AND WHY THE HELL WOULD CAROLINE ALLOW THEM TO STAY? Why didn't everyone refuse to have dinner? I just don't understand.

I will always love Damon but I seriously hate what they have done to him this season, he’s just so annoying. I wish they drop this whole thing now, its gone on long enough. I did love that Matt/Damon interactions. And even though Im not a Damon fan right now, the ending scene with S/D gave me all the feels and it made me a little sad to see this show actually coming to a close. I felt so bad for Stefan of course and watching him flip his humanity was sad but I am looking forward to him getting it back.

Seline is better than Sybil but her scenes with enzo/bonnie were such a snooze. I still cant believe that Seline erased the twins memories of her? Why would she do that? And why would Alaric trust thats what she was doing?

CAROLINE GIVING DAMON THE ELENA NECKLACE WAS SO CUTTEEEEEEEE AND THE DE FLASHBACKS SDFDSFDSFDSFDSFDSD. My heart... DAMON PULLING HER HEART OUT MADE ME SO HAPPY. But of course that wont stick I'm sure.

All in all I liked the episode better than the others this season but I was a bit disappointed. I was hoping SC's "last day" together would be better than this.

I don't know about this episode.

I like the actor who is playing Cade but I'm really not sure why he is so desperate to feed on souls, how did he become like this from a psychic being burned at the stake to the devil ... this is so weird but who knows with these writers.

For all I thought we heard about Monterey and Stefan being so brutal and killing all the inhabitants this small tent camp didn't really look that big. But maybe it was just the hype they always made around it and I thought it was an actual big town.

Mmmm, IDK how to judge this episod It wasn't entirely bad, rather!, it had very nice scenes every now and then. But it wasn't even entirely enjoyable or intriguing It's not just the Christmas atmosphere, it's that everything is already seen and seen and seen


Can Matt's dad be gone already? Seriously, why are they wasting screen and oxigen with him, I'd like really to know how many fans give a damn about him He has this everlasting expression of beaten dog on his face (now I understand where Matt inheredited his! ), his lines are all about not knowing where something is or apologizing to have been a crappy daddy... and IDK which one I care less! And since we're in topic, can Matt be gone already too? Again, I miss to see the usefulness of his character, and it's exahusting


Seline is evil than good, then evil again, then good. She ate people, then she felt sorry for the ripper, then she'd have sacrifized the twins to be free now she wants redemption. My god, have mercy and shoot me now, why can't a villain be villain, period?!?! I won't feel sympathetic with her regardless, I don't care about her heartaches, I surely don't trust her... so then again, why are they writing her like this?!?!


Alaric keeps blaming the whole world his kids are in danger and then he let Seline come close to them. Seriously!?!?!? No, but congratulations, she could have ripped their hearts out in a blink or brainwahsed them without him being able to protect them, but yeah, let's bring Seline close to them, no biggie Please, someone tells me Seline chanted in his ears without him realizing it and he's like brainwahsed, I can't believe he became so dumb




Sybil's voice is so annoying, can we have an episode without her indeed? Or at least shere she's completely mute My fav scene of this episode at all was surely Damon ripping her heart out, finally a good job, Salvatore!! And she thought Damon was falling for her, keep dreaming girl


Bonenzo first scene was very sweet, it's good to see them smiling and enjoying their time together, but I'm happy they did something else too Even though their trip to Seline's house was a bit lame to me Also, why so surprised Bonnie was affected by the diapason? I mean, powers or not, she'll always be a withc deep down, it was kind of obvious


Nice SC scenes, the second kiss was really cute I'm kind of happy if they take a pause from mommy!Caroline, always found this SL boring for her I really enjoyed her funny/sarcastic scenes


Liked Caroline/Damon scene of the necklace's gift, great idea Caroline, I'm pleasently surprised and happy finally someone thought to use Elena to give a shake to Damon!


Damon's "Oh-oh-oh" made me laugh so much, great entrance Hope his SL will get better from now on, it's kind of annoying, in this episode I enjoyed his character more, saw a spark of old Damon finally, also I'm glad it was said it was HIS idea to take the place of the twins


Don't know how to judge Cade for now, I'm curious about his plan to collect souls this way, wondering if he has a real reason to do so or what? A bigger darker more evil plan


Very happy and pleasently surprised I got my Delena dose, it was very emotional, the memory of the necklace, Damon's sweet face and smile, so precious Can't wait to see what's next


I was imagining something bigger too... not that murdering little kids is a small deal, it was quite disturbing as idea, but I was expecting... well 1)an actual town; 2)more pathos maybe? 3)And I would have avoided to link it to the sirens and Cade, it should have been left alone, with Cade commenting it maybe, not the sobbing story of Seline feeling sorry for Stefan

So this bad Damon storyline is so repetitive but I did like the dialogue he got in this ep. He cracked me up a few times

I appreciated the Damon/Caroline scene. I hope I actually get to see future Damon ask Caroline for forgiveness. I've been waiting years for it. And if they're finally going to give him a proper redemption arc that sticks this would would give him points in my book. And yay for ripping out that annoying Sybil's heart out

The twins are cute but they're so young and can't act so I'm glad they're going offscreen for a while tbh.

Haven't felt Bonenzo in a while but that T shirt thing made me smile. Happy for Bonnie being happy.

I think the devil title might be a bit of an exaggeration. He just looks like someone who wants to punish bad people because people with evil motives hurt him and Hell is like prison. He doesn't come across as a villain with an evil masterplan. Rayna wasn't much of a villain either and she was brought in more for Stefan and Defan's personal issues. Sybil on the other hand seems like she's upto something. But maybe I'm wrong and Cade does have something big planned. Though I mean what kind of Big Bad gives people chances to negotiate like that. This guy seems down right nice compared to other villains before him

They probably didn't have the budget to make the village too big Besides they were focused more on telling the storyline with Stefan's guilt and remorse as the focus.

Well she still works for Cade and they're innocent and pure so she's not allowed to kill them. And since Cade doesn't want them now because he has the Salvabros it would be dumb of her to brainwash them. It would probably get her in trouble so I get why Alaric was okay with it.

I was just making examples, she's a psycho, she changes personality every now and then, as far as Alaric knows this could be all Cade's plan and she could have done anything to the twins beside making them forget about her I just find dumb and hypocrite AF to have complained about your girls's safety all the time and then you trust your enemy around them so easily

Pretty lame that Stefan was cheated out of his final day of freedom. Not cool.

Caroline caring about helping Damon/getting through to him will never not be weird to me. Also why did Stefan have Elena's locket? That was weird.

Damon is just a mess, but I hope he's no longer under evil mermaid's control.

Evil mermaid #1 needs to just die already and I don't really care about evil mermaid #2.

Bonnie and Enzo were sweet if not overly cheesy again.

Alaric was a douche about the kids. Caroline is walking away from them the least you could do is let her have her last holiday with them .

Matt hit the jackpot in crappy parents. He should just move on and move to Canada or something.

Stefan being blamed for all the bad things happening to Elena wasn't fair. She was born a doppleganger and Klaus and/or Katherine would have eventually grabbed her and killed her permanently. If you're gonna blame Stefan for things he did how about actually blame him for the things he did and not the things you made up/retconned .

Overall I found the episode boring and lately it feels like these episodes just drag forever and nothing really happens in them.

I give up..... Stefan is never going to be given any breaks. Everything just gets blamed on him and I am sick of it.

This is what I was thinking but you could see they were scared of Damon and Sybil..... Though if I'm writing an exam first thing in the morning the nervousness makes me lose my appetite so I don't get how they could actually eat dinner

I don't think Stefan had it. I think they just sent all Elena's belongings to the Salvatore house since she burned her house down. I remember in S7 one of the heretics wears one of Elena's dresses. Or maybe it was the necklace from the prison world.

Yeah Elena would always have been in danger because of Klaus. But I must admit I do slightly agree with Cade. I didn't appreciate the way Stefan came into Elena's life. With the stalking and lying so much in the first half of S1. He was listening in on her conversations.....He knew so much about her without even having spoken to her and it bugged me back then. So to me it felt like he inserted himself into her life.

I liked this one better than last week. But it really does feel like nothing is happening.....And with only 9 episodes left this is a waste of their final season. Guest stars should not be getting this much focus

did anything happen after damon cut out sybil's heart and sat it on the bench? cuz my dvr cut off at that point. football ran late and delayed the recording time.

i agree matt's dad needs to go he is just so boring to watch.

^If I remember correctly Caroline had one last scene with the twins. Then Stefan was walking down the road and Damon picked him up and they left town. And after they passed the MF sign Stefan flipped his humanity switch.

I thought it was a cool little last scene for Stefan but we definitely need this whole thing to not last much longer.

Am I naive for hoping it'll get resolved quicker and the last episodes of the season can actually focus on the characters?

Yes I probably am, we will be stuck with Sybil and Selling until the series finale I bet.
