6x11 - Woke Up With A Monster - January 22nd

CONTROLLING YOUR MAGIC — More powerful than ever, Kai (guest star Chris Wood) holds Elena (Nina Dobrev) captive while he learns to control his newly acquired magic. At the Salvatore mansion, Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) and Alaric (Matt Davis) try to prepare Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) for the impending merge ceremony with Kai, but they quickly realize Jo is weaker than they thought. After bringing Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) home from the hospital, Caroline (Candice Accola) travels with Stefan (Paul Wesley) to North Carolina in search of a cure for her mother's cancer. Meanwhile, Stefan, who has his own intentions for traveling to North Carolina, is caught off guard when Enzo (Michael Malarkey) shows up demanding to know what Stefan is hiding. Lastly, when Damon (Ian Somerhalder) discovers Elena has been kidnapped by Kai, he is forced to rethink his strategy after an unexpected visitor throws a wrench into his plan. Michael Trevino, Steven R. McQueen and Zach Roerig also star.

loved tonight's episode

the opening scene in the diner with kai i thought was hystarical.

the wondertwins are getting on my nervers. they both just need to go away

nice to see jeremy and alaric come and help save damon, elena and jo. they havent had much to do storyline wise in a while

so we finally meet the real sarah, and stefan is actually stupid enough to believe that enzo would just leave her alone? wtf? not a smart move there

and caroline i know she means well trying to find anyway possible to help her mother., but how is she going to deal when she finds out that her blood is the reason her mom is going to die?

I really liked this episode! Kai was such a psycho, some of those scenes really felt like I was watching a horror movie. I enjoyed the Caroline and Liz scenes. The last one was really sad and had me screaming at the TV not to give Liz the blood. If you make someone a test subject Caroline, you have to stay longer for the results! I liked that Jeremy saved the day with his crossbow

and I like that Jo and Damon are getting along now. I loved all the Damon and Elena scenes. The Stefan and Caroline scene on the patio was cute. The only thing that was boring was Enzo. I'm not sure why he can't let this vendetta go. Good directing by Paul, I like the way this episode was shot. It felt different!

I really enjoyed the episode. Paul did a great job directing. I didn't feel the urge to fast forward anything. And I got feels for couples that I don't ship so good job Paul!

Caroline leaving the patient she fed her blood to so quickly was irresponsible.

I thought Enzo would have given up his vendetta after hearing the Sarah storyline

He needs to let it go! There are other people on this show who've tried to kill him/left him for dead so singling out Stefan is getting more stupid by the day

This was honestly a lot better than the last outings. I'd say it was the best episode of the season. Paul directing it obviously made a difference. I didn't get annoyed by the D/E moments, they were actually nice. That "fake dying" thing and "if I don't get kidnapped before tomorrow" thing, priceless. Also that simple thing of Stefan taking Caroline's hand, it really worked.

But yeah the idea that you'd feed a guy a magic venom and fail to wait 24 hours before you feed it to your mom

This episode was great and definitely one of my favs this season! It was funny when Damon was talking to Alaric and he says, let me guess...Jeremy's holding a crossbow. LOL

Totally NOT liking/caring about anything to do with Enzo. Which is sad because I did like him and felt like he had tons of potential. But they've made him completely pointless and just not even making sense.

Also thought it was a bit off for Caroline to rush home and give her mom blood without watching the guy for a few days. She is usually so careful and thorough about everything! But, yeah, I was also screaming at the TV, "don't do it!!!" as her mom drinks the blood.

I am actually looking forward to next week! Whoo Hoo!

Paul is wonderful. His direction was fresh and I loved it

Steroline = I would enjoy it more if I knew the writers were planning on just keeping them friends.. but I couldn't, because everything was shrouded in this weird tension

Why can't I have one good thing in this show

Stefan was sweet and Caroline is finally starting to soften towards him. They were cute.

DE = Fast forwarded their scenes.. so I don't really have an opinion on them.

Kai = He doesn't scare me. I did not feel intimated at all by him. In fact there was a few scenes where I had to struggle not to full on giggle at how lame he is.

Stefan = Awesome, amazing, wonderful. I love him.

Caroline = She was really great this episode. Back to the Caroline that I love.

Damon = Has not annoyed me once at all this season. I actually watch his scenes (minus the DE nonsense).

Enzo = He is pathetic.

Nope. They ruined any chance that I would like Steroline in the romantic sense, when they wrote those first 10 shtty episodes for them

Now I am not interested.
