I never posted here before but I just wanted to give my two cents on the SE/DE thing because it really brought back feelings I had on previous love triangles, which is the whole destiny VS free will thing. Being "meant to be" with someone is a thought that really turns me off when watching a couple. It gets forced, predictable, and it's an excuse for lazy writing. Which is why I'm really enjoying DE, and seeing them fight against that. You get a choice in who you want to be with. Any other way of being together is just oppressing and not enjoyable to watch. I hope the writers stick with this.

I really liked the episode. In fact, I really like this season. I think I may be in the minority of that but I'm enjoying the SLs that are going on, I'm glad that it's back to our core characters (besides for Tyler, what the hell writers ) and it feels like the acting has been really good.

I thought we'd get Stefan!Stefan back tonight for good but we only did for a little while before his memory was wiped. Imagine being Paul and playing past!Silas, current!Silas, Stefan and memory wiped!Stefan in one episode this reminds me of the S2 days w/ Nina playing Elena and Katherine w/ flashbacks and scenes together in one episode. Anyways, he's still playing all of them really well and I bet Paul is having a blast. I do want to see not memory wiped Stefan back though - I enjoyed his little bits tonight w/ Damon and Qetsiyah.


Qetsiyah, or Tessa and she wants to be called was really interesting to watch. I didn't know she was coming to the show. Since last season I've wanted the show to introduce her so I'm glad she's finally on our screens. I'm hoping she gets to interact w/ more people next time - maybe Bonnie? Seeing as they are related and all. I think the actress added a really nice balance to Tessa which made me feel for her. She's just the right amount of "crazy", calm and confident.

Matt - please don't die. All this him being possessed by that guy and Silas being so insistent about wanting him dead is just a no no. I love that Zach is getting more screentime but as long as it's not screentime leading to a death, I'm good.

Katherine - flawless as per usual.

Really loving this SL for her, really loving her having scenes w/ Elena. It was funny when Katherine said Elena was her and Elena's face was like I'm not even surprised she is saying this oh Katherine.

Never ending triangle[s] - Now I could be wrong but to me it seems as if "the universe" (Tessa's term, not mine) is kind of course correcting over and over throughout time through the use of doppelgangers. Since Silas and Amara cheated death by becoming immortal beings, and because they did this horrible thing to Qetsiyah (lying to her, using her, stealing from her) - they weren't fully able to live out their time in love. Because of this, the universe is doing this thing where the doppelgangers are "destined" to play out this love that Silas and Amara have. Now again, I'm just speculating but if the doppelgangers are being pushed or pulled by the universe to pursue relationships with each other, it doesn't seem to be on their own volition, is it?. If so, is everything they've shared their own? Are their feelings their own? Is their love their own? Or is it the reminiscence of what is destined to be because of Silas and Amara's love? And if so, is that fair to the doppelgangers? Was that fair to Stefan and Katherine and is that fair to Stefan and Elena? And why isn't Stefan and Katherine implied as the more destined couple then if it's all about the doppelgangers in general getting together? Are circumstances also a factor?

I know that Elena had to fight hard to really admit her feelings for Damon, this could have been part of the reason why. If so, I'm sure it will be a constant battle to do so but if they do end up choosing each other through their own power then I think that would really show the depth of their love. If they're able to find each other despite the universe pushing for the doppelgangers to be together then that's pretty amazing, IMO.

Truly Immortal

I thought tonight's episode was pretty good, kinda bummed we didn't really get ripper Stefan back though . But overall I'm liking this season much more than the start of last season. Cant wait to see next week's episode, looks like there is going to be some tension between Damon and memoryless Stefan.

I found this episode pretty good. Loved how Damon practically proposed to Elena and her face was so sweet....pretty similar to Damon's face during her confession last season

I feel like they're heavy handedly implying that Steferine is endgame here and maybe Delena are too. Win/win for me honestly since I can't stand the idea of Elena anywhere Stefan anymore. It's been over a hundred years and Katherine still wants him, nuff said for me.

I'm loving this season so far. I didn't think I could love katherine any more than I do but she's such a great character. I havent been big on Elena since last season so Nina is doing a great job making me forget that it's the same actress. Same with Paul. I love Tessa as well. The actress use to play Papi on The L Word(for anyone that watched) and I think shes doing great job being both insane yet sympathetic. the heart in her hand scene was a win for me.

Dopplegangers destiny thing doesn't bother me much, of course they have free will it's just they are drawn to each other. However as we see with Stefan and Katherine and Silas an Katherine they don't automatically fall in love for eternity. With or without this Elena was always going to have feelings for Stefan, being with his brother right after him justs keeps the connection alive even more if you as me.

Delena- I havent seen much that convinces me theres a great love between them yet, I believe in Damon feelings for her 100%, but not so much with Elena. Im not believing she has or could give him her heart entirely as long as his brother exist. I think Elena still has to prove it, and more than saying "I love you".

Other- Bring Bonnie back! I actually missed the college storyline this episode. Oddly I didn't miss Jeremy. & Poor Matt will never catch a break but nice to see him with a storyline finally. When will Tyler be back?!

Loved that episode, did not see the Katsia introduction coming, maybe I'm just a bit slow, anyway i love her already.

Do not like this idea that there are other stefan/elena dopplegangers.
Katherine was flawless as usual.

I seriously hope this is not the case - it has been said over and over that Stefan did not feel anything for Katherine it was all compulsion. If they suddenly makes her the love of his life I will be so done with TVD!

All they are doing is creating some unneccesarily drama between DE just like they did with SE with the sirebond.. To me none of this will matter in the end really..

and what they are really buliding is if Stefan can fall in love with Elena without pining for her that what this is really about.
