Never cared about the triangle before tonight, it's getting interesting now.
Really like Boonie/Matt friendship also.
I'm also glad Matt can see Vicky too, gives him some usefulness.
Love Klaus, but I can't feel bad for him being lonely. Turning werewolves into hybrids is just going to add to the list of people who hate him. And if he comples them it won't be any kind of friendships.
And I have a feeling Micheal isn't just going to cause problems for Klaus, but for everyone. =/

Elena - Wow just wow. Stefan owes it her! Really Elena? Everything he has ever done this three season has been about you. He doesn't owe you anything! Also were is her logic about her whole thing with Stefan when it wasn't his choice to go after her or turn off his emotions? Just no words really to say how annoyed I am with her. It doesn't make her look very smart either. Stefan loves her more than she would ever love him. That was clear tonight.

Matt - I'm so glad he was given something to do this episode and hopefully this season. Some might call him crazy, but what he did was wow is an amazing way. Yes I think it partly was to be able to see his sister, but also he truly cares about Tyler and didn't want him dead. For him to do that. I love Matt more than ever. It was really fun to see him have scenes with Bonnie.

Stefan - I'll say it first I'm not sure how I feel about the whole compulsion bit, but man did Paul nail it out of the park! This season has given him so much good material to work with! I still need to collect my thought about all of this. When I get my thoughts together maybe I'll be able to really write how I feel about the story line.

Klaus and Rebekah - I'm not usually a fan of these sorts of characters, but I really liked them both this episode in all the dark and twisted ways. You really don't want to mess with them.

I'm not sure how I feel about Tyler being a hybrid at this moment. I wonder how this will effect him mentally and emotionally.

Overall this episode was WAY better than last week's but I think that in itself is not the biggest compliment with how bad last week's episode was. But truly though it was a good episode.

I would rank it this way so far.

Episode three
Episode one
Episode two
Episode Five
Episode four

Disappointed with the episode. I had to stop watching midway and then the DE scene came and DE definitely saved the episode for me.

Stefan: I was not surprised that they made Klaus compel him to turn off his emotions because the writers can never make him do anything bad on his own free will. There's always a reason attached to it whether it be killing innocent girls because of Klaus or biting Elena because of Klaus. I don't like it. I thought we'd see a full-on ripper, and he'd come out of his shell because that's just who he really is, but he gets to get away with lots because he's under Klaus' thumb. It is really annoying because what he's doing is still killing/hurting people around him and that can't be justified. Klaus specifically compelled him to turn off his emotions not "be ripper" ... but didn't Rose say last season that there is no switch? So he in fact, really is doing this on his own will? Is it all just in his head? ....How much I loved him being all magnetic in the hallways though, trying not to hurt Elena... and then going after the mop/broom to stab himself.

Stefan/Rebekah: How much I hated that they made her stab him in the beginning because of how jealous she was. It's paralleling Katherine stabbing him in 2x01. It doesn't sit right with me, I don't know.

Elena: I absolutely love you bb! and I hate how much abuse you've gotten in the series. Rebekah slapping her, Klaus man-handling her She can never get a break D: . I hope this changes in the future and actually it even looks like Damon is teaching her to defend herself next episode

Damon/Elena: These two are on a whole nother level of epicness than the show overall! I can not like a bunch of things in the show but DE remain flawless as ever. "Where were you Damon?" and his response, he was basically promising himself to her and I loved the whole little moment! Also, I loved him carrying her out of the hospital. Being carried out of the hospital where you usually get treated and cured, but then here we have Damon being her savior I really liked that. I'll keep this short and move on to the DE thread..

Damon: Again, putting himself in a position where he's seconds away from death - in Klaus' way just to save Elena. And also, his offer to Elena, to remove her memories of tonight just so all she can remember are the good/happy memories of Stefan. It's interesting how at the beginning of the episode they seniors talk about making memories and then this happens. He cares about both of them so much I'm glad he got her necklace back too, but I think it's good if she doesn't put it on for now, b/c if Rebekah sees it, she might just flip. And, I totally loved how Damon shoved Katherine off today, my bb has grown so much!

Jeremy/Anna: I'm glad we got to see Jeremy letting Anna back in and that she'd always be there even if he shut her out last time they spoke. Why Anna doesn't trust or like Damon is odd though because weren't they on good terms when she died... he even wanted to help her but couldn't ...

Matt/Bonnie: I kind of liked these two, I'd like to see them together more. and this coming from someone who's not a huge Bonnie fan. Also, I find it so, so, so weird that Matt can see Vicki... I mean he wasn't technically dead and brought back to life with magic... and even so, how would he be able to see the dead... wouldn't Elena also be able to see the dead then, she died and came back to life too! How does this work exactly, is my question... but I'm not a major fan of magic anyway so maybe that's why I'm confused.

Tyler/Caroline: I liked their scenes - I hope Rebekah doesn't give Caroline trouble. Tyler is a hybrid now - is he immortal now too, he can't die, ever? Because that is awesome! I'm glad that he now has a choice to turn into a were, because it was horrible watching him go through that pain. Trevino pwned it everytime though! Damon's blood made Caroline a vampire and Elena's made Tyler a hybrid

Klaus: So it really wasn't him as the wolf who saw Elena in the woods in that episode... and he really didn't smell her in Chicago... That's kind of dumb lol I guess that's why he booked it so fast at the end of today's episode, because he can never tell who's tailing him and Damon scared him by saying Mikael knows where he is... I wonder when he'll be back.

Lastly, senior prank set up went totally wrong ... RIP Not-Now-Dana

I liked this episode a lot.

So, Stefan's love for Elena made him able to fight against compulsion. But he did decide to turn the switch off, but IMO we have seen, that there really is no real switch. Rose and Damon have somewhat proved that. I loved the whole exchange between Elena and Stefan. Even when they are apart, the writers are able to write their love epic.

I also liked Elena this episode, might be unpopular opinion. I just don' see why she is getting all the hate. IMO it is a good thing, that whatever she does, there is no sugarcoating it, she carries her deeds with her.

Matt/Bonnie friendship has a good wibe to it.

I really don't get all the Elena hate. We all knew going into this show that they would explore the triangle. That was not something that was unknown, we all knew sooner or later the whole Delena aspect was going to be explored. Elena is in the middle in all of this, no matter what way they go about it, she's going to look back in some way. When has a triangle not made characters look bad? I don't think ever. So, honestly, I don't get that argument at all whatsoever.

They're showing the struggle between Elena's feelings for both the brothers. I think they're doing a fine job of it.

Now, on to the episode. It was pretty good.

Delena's scenes for me were epic.

Tyler/Caroline - we need more of them, seriously.

I got lost with the whole hybrid thing and Tyler not turning into one, probably cause at some point during the show I went and did something else Can someone please explain that to me?

I wish we could've seen Vicki's message to Bonnie. I guess we will soon enough.

Am I the only one who thought that something was/is going to happen between Bonnie & Matt? It sure seemed so.

I'm not sure how I feel about Stefan being compelled to do all of that stuff. I guess we'll see, one this is for sure, nothing is going to be the same after this. I'm really curious about how the dynamic will be between Stefan & Elena in the next season, certainly it's not going to be easy. Things are going to be super shaky.

But you don't really have to get it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and no-one has bashed her, so people are allowed to think of her in anyway they want.

Damon and Elena scenes were a joke. Are the writers being serious with this? I am at a loss for what to say

Stefan was unbelievably amazing His love for Elena is brilliant and I love how the writers showcase their love as still being epic

Elena's feelings toward everything that happened were understandable, but she has seen worse and she will undoubtedly get over this. SE will not suffer for long. You can still see her love for Stefan in all of her choices.

Klaus is an amazing baddie and I hope he sticks around for along time.

Damon and Katherine and Jeremy were boring. I just wanted their scenes to hurry up and be over.

But you don't have to get it either with my opinion. Like you said, everyone is entitled to their opinions, and people have bashed her so, lol. People are allowed to think of her in any way they want, who said they weren't? Once again, that wasn't in my post, nor did I imply that. I never once made it seem like people weren't entitled to their opinions, just like everyone else, I put my opinion out there.

I think whenever a guy and girl have scenes ppl r so quick to go oh they r gonna hook up. Matt and Bonnie r a throwback to the books which I loved. And it helps dwelve Matt into the group and make him less of an outsider.

Vicki and Matt scene was so sad loved it.

Stefan stole the show show. The way he fought against Klaus compelling him and when he was about to stake himself I kept screaming nooooooooo!! Stefan/Elena are epic! This season is proving that. I'm enjoying them fight for their love.

Needed more Beremy. And I'm over Anna's ghost. There isn't really a point to her I feel. Vicki serves a purpose.

I think pretty soon Im gonna quit this season cause I'm just pain in the butt tired of it.

Rebekah - You gotta love this bitch. "Why is the doppelganger bitch wearing my necklace." It seems like she's sided with Klaus. I was rewatching the scene where Rebekah was beating the hell outta Stefan, is it just me but it reminds me when katherine also stabbed Stefan in S2 episode 2. Katherine also talked bout Elena, how it bothered her that he was in love with someone else and than Stefan said "i hated you." She stabbed him now, Rebekah said "you really do love her don't you." then she said "consider me Jealous." and stab him. Is she really jealous? Did she really had to punch him before stabbing him. hahahahaa.

Elena - For some reason I'm very annoyed with what she said "You owed me." Really, I don't see what Stefan even owes her..Honestly, it should be her owing Stefan something in return. Everyone can see how much further Stefan will do in order to not hurt her. He rather hurt himself then hurting her. yes I get it, but you can clearly see how much Stefan loves her more than she will ever love him. This is really one sided love relationship and one sided love sacrifice. If you two people really love each other, sacrificing for each other should be equal length but as we can see tonight how much Stefan can willing to give up, willing to give up everything including his life for her. imo, this is not equal sacrifice, not equal love one is giving up lot more then the other. He's particularly giving up everything for her......imo, her giving him humanity is never equal to the fact Stefan owes her to fight against being Ripper..........So this really made me pissed cause Stefan owes you nothing! in matter of fact, She suppose to owe Stefan. What she does owe Stefan imo is her life? Her life as a vampire.

Klaus - I don't blame him for everything he done, he thought Stefan was his friend, his ally but he end up having his feelings hurt felt betray for everything.

Stefan - even though I feel sorry for all the struggling esp where Klaus compelled him to have no emotions was sad..Generally, All the actions Klaus put him through, in somewhat way I dont feel sorry for him in general except those two I mention above it's because it was his fault he thinks he can outsmart Klaus by hiding from him. even Katherine warn him that Klaus is smarter than anyone and he still continues to build up stronger lies and bringing all these on himself.....Klaus actually did thought of him as a friend, as an ally but Stefan end up betraying him all these pain was just butt handed to him. Klaus was just doing what someone would betray him would do.

Tyler - interesting as to know where this would go since he's a hybrid.

DE - I like this scene. It was pretty good "i will never leave you again."

Rose and Damon have somewhat proved that.
Rose: There’s no switch you can turn. Sure when you’re a newbie but after a couple of hundred years… you just have to pretend. (2x09)

Neither Damon nor Stefan are a couple of hundred years old. Someone like Katherine, Pearl and Rose however would have no switch.

Again with my unpopular opinions, but Elena is and was willing to say and do anything from keeping Stefan from going over then edge. Any emotional blacmail, guilttrip etc, so he would not switch off the humanity. Killing Elena, or her turning into a vampire would make him turn completely over, with no turning back, we all know that. And on another note, had Stefan not decided to pursue Elena, she would be fully unaware of all of this, so in a way he owes her a lot. Yes, she has made the decision to date him, but the danger aspect appeared in her life long before she was fully aware what was going on and who Stefan/Damon were. so her "You owe it to me" was not bad at all, IMO. Yes, he owes it to her not to kill her, and fight the compulsion. Besides, she again agreed to sacrifice herself for Tyler and all her loved ones, with her nod to Bonnie.

I also have a feeling, that Stefan is playing Klaus. Now Stefan will be able to be around Elena, and protect her, with Klaus permission, just with acting, that he has no humanity left in him, and he has no love for Elena.

@Mitra I don't get the Elena hate either! All I see is a girl thrown in this world. And her being a doppleganger would have brought her into it without being with Stefan. It's not her fault. Going to Tenn. And Chiacgo might have been stupid but she's only known good Stefan and all he's done is put her first, she was just trying to do the same.

I get Klaus thought Stefan was his friend but what did he except after "killing" Elena and basically forcing him to join him? But Stefans really bad at being deceitful, he should have listened to Katherine.

I loved Katherines scenes for two reasons. One, it showed she's always a step ahead of Klaus. And two, I was glad Damon shot her down after everything she put him through.

Also, I felt bad for Rebekah when she found out Klaus wanted to make more hybrids cause he's lonely. She looked genuinely hurt. She still loves her brother and was still teaming up with him. She probably thinks he could care less now.
