History is one of the many reasons why I love this show. The show hooked me in last year with American Civil War period which is one of my favorite time periods in the history. I love flashback episodes because it tell me the perspective of the character. Many historians alway talk about facts but really it is all about perspective because you can pick and delete what happened in the past.
Stefan's story was interesting but he can choose to tell and erase some facts and that is his perspective. I find Elena's perspective on Stefan's evil past to be interesting and I like to compare her opinion to Stefan's opinion. This is one of my favorite episode and I am really happy with how it turned out in the episode except for the evil wizard. Did I mention that I love Katherine? I am thrilled to see her out and I thought she was amazing hot in the shower!  If you thought history is very boring subject in school and I don't blame you but not in The Vampire Diaries!
