Tomorrow might actually be the only resemblance of Haylijah being in a romantic relationship based off of the newest interview Phoebe gave. She basically said there is no time for Hayley and Elijah to be together with Hope being in danger and Hayley and the family will put her before anything else going on. With it only being 13 episodes this season and it might be the last, maybe these characters will end up with no endgame.

I'm still holding out hope (no pun) for a payoff after all the obstacles thrown their way but I'm no longer optimistic.

^ No different than what we've been going through each season. Same situation, different season basically. I'm thinking it'll probably be more like a scene or two each episode in the manner of what we got in 3x20-3x22 and 4x01. Short and good scenes that are just enough to tide us over every episode. I mean, just because Hope is in trouble and all doesn't mean that Hayley and Elijah can't be together. I think PT just meant that we won't get Haylijah being a big part of the season. They'll just be a small part and front background ship like they have been the whole series so far. So nothing is changing other than they're finally a couple. They're a couple now with a couple scene here and there but everything else being about saving Hope and everything. At least that's what I am thinking.
