They were so precious! All their joking at each other, and Damon watching over Alaric! OMG I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH!
 Observant fans also caught this in the promo! It seems Damon is wearing Alaric's ring in the next episode!!!! OMG can they be more subtle about their love? My guess is that Damon has it for safe keeping!   __________________

Love Damon being there when Alaric woke up. That whole scene was great - starting off with the snark, that then turned to a little bit of tenderness when Alaric asked about Meredith.

Can we just stay at the part where Damon was watching Alaric sleep?
Couldn't be more love in the air if they tried!  Damon might have been off dealing with his Rebekah/Sage troubles but when his best bud needed him, he was right there at Alaric's side. THIS is true friendship and brotherhood Family takes care of family      Poor confused Alaric and goofy sarcastic protective Damon = And Damon is so sensitive to people's feelings! good thing Alaric's got thick skin...    __________________

 that was a hilarious line from Damon. I love how he's so snarky to him about it and acts like it's no big deal but the truth is Damon, though going through his own stuff, was right there by Ric's side when it counted. |

They couldnt have been any better in this episode if they tried! And to add to the list of awesome, Ric reminising about the first time Damon killed him was super adorable!
Meredith:....."Although I have kind of been wondering why youve never stuck a stake through Damons Heart" Ric: *Laughs* I tried once. He killed me. *laughs again* Ah! The good ole days of the beginning Bromance! __________________

Was I the only one whose mind went to a slashy place when Damon was trying to keep Elena out of Alaric's room? For your consideration:
Elena: Hey. How's Alaric? Damon: (pause) Indecent. But fine. Elena: So then, does that mean there was no issues last night? Damon: Nope. Slept like a baby. Woke up Alaric. No headlines about dead council members. Elena: Then why do I feel like you're hiding something from me? Damon: Well, maybe because you're being all paranoid and control freak-y. I know he was hiding the stake-making, but it sure sounded like he was hiding something else for a minute there.  __________________
