 Damon needed his best friend so many times this season and I wished that Alaric had been there. With Cult's cancellation, Matt should be available if they want to have him back for next season. __________________

I liked it cause it showed to Damon that Alaric really was there when he visited Ric's grave. And he was listening to his friend when Damon had thought he was alone and he had hit rock bottom.
 I agree, I would of liked to see all four together - they have such a great dynamic as a little patched together family  - They could of slipped Alaric into that Jer/Elena goodbye scene with Damon. But, TVD always misses opportunities like that.__________________
