The first scene was so rushed and out of the blue. I thought I had skipped a scene or two. It made no sense

Also I'm tired of writers thinking that giving a character a sob story it's going to make the audience like her/him.

Right? But I'm not gonna lie, I didn't fully care for Klaus until I watched "ordinary people" where they showed his abuse from Mikael. Although I did like him before that around 3x03, the 20's

It's just that not only is the sob story overdone to death, but it's a lazy way of trying to make a character grow on us and not only that but it barely makes Camille relevant, even if her brothers story ties into everything else in the future, I probably still won't care
