I'm really going to miss him as a villain, he was the best, in some ways even better than Klaus, far more dark and cruel and snarky :bawl: :no: I'm really mad how they wasted all his potential, he should have survived and be the big villain of next season too, he had all the right features to be, it's really a pity :mad: :sick: :(

I'll miss the character but I'm glad he didn't stay to the point he lost his villainous charm. He had great lines:

I agree Anna that as far as villains go he was better than Klaus. Season 1 Damon, season 2 Katherine and Kai were the only villains that truly impressed me.

Julie Plec has made stars out of Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley — and she’s about to introduce another: Wood. After he was cast in the past season of “The Vampire Diaries,” Plec hand-picked the actor to star in “Containment,” her third CW series and an early favorite among execs all through pilot season.

“Chris showed up on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and instantly started blowing everyone’s minds, but my love for him was clinched when Paul Wesley, who is hilariously very sparing with his compliments, texted me after his first day of directing Chris and said, ‘This guy is unbelievably good,’” Plec raves. Wood is no stranger to the CW, as he also recurred on “The Carrie Diaries,” showing off his versatility.

“He’s committed, prepared, delightful, and extremely gifted,” she says. “He’s also excellent at Catch Phrase.”
