I kept wondering that maybe just maybe at the very,very end(like the series finale of VD years from now), Elena and Matt might end up together. As much I like Elena with both of the Salvatore brothers, she and Matt makes sense at the very end.

It was great to see them together in the flashback. But their friendship scenes in the present were the best. Matt is such a great friend.

Loved their scenes too! It was nice to see them together. I always picture Elena with Damon or Stefan, so it was nice to see her dating someone else.

I really loved their scenes. Even the flashbacks. It was refreshing seeing Elena with Matt since we always see her with Stefan/Damon.
I love their bond. Together, or not they are still really close. It was so sweet how she wanted Stefan to rescue Matt first. I like that it was similar to the way that her dad wanted him to rescue Elena first. __________________
