I love this episode. Especially the beginning when Kol and Rebecca were dancing in a club and vampire from Elijah's sire line start dropping dead on the dance floor. That's a far cry from season 2 of TVD when Elijah was going to kill Klaus . Did Elijah know that Klaus's sire line would die with him? Or did he just didn't care.

At first I was wondering how did Rebecca and Kol know it was from Elijah's sire line then I realized Klaus is no longer connected to his sire line.


Freya has a way to save Elijah, but she sends Hayley in there after she realized she couldn't do the spell and save Elijah too. Elijah didn't recognized Hayley. If Freya had found Elijah when she went in there Elijah wouldn't have recognized Freya neither, since he only known her for 5 years. Klaus would have been a better choice and he would have been more able to defend himself against Elijah.

I love that the littlest Mikaelson wanted to help, and I'm glad that Freya let her help, but i'm afraid that Hope was going to go behind the red door . But then I remembered she's 7, not stupid.....which bring us to Marcel desperately trying to save Sofya. I didn't know he cared that much about Sofya. Their relationship always came across like friends with benefits. So now he's totally in love with her?! Wow I didn't think Marcel love anyone more then himself. Rebecca seem hurt when Marcel told her that he loved Sofya. Rebecca should have moved on from Marcel when he wouldn't leave New Orleans with her, and him locking her brother away for 5 years should have put a nail in the coffin of her romanization of their relationship.
Marcel NEVER loved Rebecca. He just was using her.

Kol found out that the connection to the ancestors has been reestablished, and rush off to see Davina. I thought Kol was smart, but I guess that each time he died, he lost some of his common sense. Kol knows that the ancestors hate him, and they hate Davina more. It was because of the ancestors that Davina died in the first place so why did he think that the harvests girls were going to let him talk to her? Now he on team hollow in in order to save Davina, who I wish had stayed dead .

Marcel goes off to meet the hollow alone because he doesn't trust the Mikaelson, yet he had no problem with them last week now he's back to not trusting them this week. Maybe the Mikaelson shouldn't trust Marcel. As a matter of fact I think there a few people the Mikaelson should not trust:

Mikaelson's Do not trust list:

Davina (she connected to the hollow)
Kol in love with Davina there he must protect the hollow
Freya's girlfriend (we don't know her views on the hollow)

Jackson's grandma . She hates the Mikaelson and her husband was the first to summons the hollow.
Vincent. We was never shown what he discussed with the hollow,and he ask for his grimoire back. He also sent Marcel on a suicide mission.

Marcel. He's in possession of the only thorns that can kill a Mikaelson, plus he encounters the hollow twice , and "Twice", and Twice she didn't kill him. Why ? The Hollow crave power, yet she didn't kill Marcel and take his power?! He can't be trusted.


I love Klaus conversation with Hayley. Klaus really have matured. He came a long way from the jealous guy is who didn't want Elijah dating Hayley in season 1. He's also right , Elijah is the best of them.


Question:

Who now has the Marcel killing knife, and Elijah was killed by the hollow?
Was that Jackson at the end of the promo for next week episode?

I agree, this was a great episode. I'm getting a little mixed up between episodes, since I haven't been consistently posting, so forgive me if I talk about something that wasn't in this one.

You're right, great opening with Rebekah and Kol seeing Elijah's sire line die before their eyes.

Loved Klaus talking to Hayley and finally appreciating all his brother meant to him. Wish that Elijah would reveal that somehow he heard his brother's nice words (he needs to hear them!) Klayley fans must really be happy.

Loved that Freya went in first and got to see some of what she missed out on by not being in their lives all these years..both the good and the bad. You are right Lady Katherine, that in some ways Klaus would have been a better choice to go in, or maybe to go in WITH Hayley...but Hayley makes sense too, since he has such tenderness for her(and not always tenderness with Klaus if you think on it.) So scary and sad that Elijah locked himself away behind the red door and almost killed Hayley...it was Hope calling for her Mom that saved Elijah from himself. She reminded him of his REAL core self--his need for innocence and family. Only now, Hayley is scared of him...and probably scared of her own proclivity to violence.

Loved that Davina appeared again--and heard Josh talking to her (was that in this ep?) And she rose from the dead! What a great twist.

Episode was alright. Hayley seeing herself and Elijah kiss was really cute. It sucks that he didnt recognize her and started chasing after her. When he hit her, that sucked because I remember what Julie said about that scene ugh. Its not even Elijah! I hate this show. I understand if it takes a while for her to get over it but to break up over it? So annoyed.

The idea that Marcel loves Sophia is dumb to me. And I dont care that Rebekah is upset at all. Like, the Marcel/Rebekah thing is so overplayed. Im just tired of it. Rebekah desrves so much better. I did like seeing her again but also still feel its a bit useless to see her back when she just ends up leaving again.

What happened to Josh' boyfriend? The Josh/Marcel scene was nice though.

I just can't stay invested in this season for some reason, I don't really like the storylines.
