Same here, I was sure Stefan was going to die, but Enzo? Nope... or maybe die but then come back, I was so sure the whole last SL was about defeting the devil but bring back their beloved ones... so maybe there was a possibility for Enzo to die, but I was sure it would have been temporarily, as always

They were, at least from the clips I've seen of them! I need to watch the later seasons so I can see their full love story.

I really will always wish that these 2 actually started in season 5.

I believe so many people would have hardcore shipped them.

But the creator, JP admitted they only happened because of a reaction for Damon.

Not a great way to start something.

If it was me, I would have started it in season 5 when they were on the other side, and never had Enzo have those feelings for Caroline....
And than it was those feelings and than it was Lily and it seems like Bonnie was a afterthought for the writers can finally let Bonnie be with a vampire and for certain agendas instead of building a great long love story that would have been better to watch.

In saying all of that, yes I still loved them together, just disliked how the writers went about it...

^ Yeah and from what I remembered, many people didn't care for Enzo with Lily. lol
Also, season 6 I think most of the fans were through with Enzo in general and was ready for him to be killed off because he was useless.

I felt the Enzo/Caroline thing was bad because they were trying to redo Klaus/Caroline which was why it didn't connect with many of the viewers and than Lily happened...
And than clearly Bonnie was an agenda for the writers, they didn't do it because they truly wanted to in my opinion.

Although I did love the Bonnie/Enzo scenes we ultimately ended up getting. Season 5 was perfect since Bonnie and Enzo were on the Other Side together, probably they could have really bonded at that time and slowly got a real connection.

I didn't care for Enzo at all... probably since I was watching on and off but I sort of felt he was irrelevant as well.... I was happy when Stefan had enough of his nonsense in season 6 and handed him over to the vampire hunter.

One of Stefan best moments. lol

I just felt the writers had no true direction with him.

Happy they kept him around though.
