IMO the one thing that will make Isobel 'really' good again, is if Katherine is threatening Elena's life.

Elena needs to know...no matter how screwed up her parents were/are...they do both love her.

I love that too. NO MORE DAMONS! If we are gonna have vilains they had better be villains. With a splash of good here and there but remain bad. I cant wait to see her back on screen. I hope Katherine will be the same. An evil bitch through and through but her only weakness is her love for the brothers.

well i have a different opinion on damon. he should be good because hes one of the main characters. IDK, thats how I see it.

But we do need some REAL villians like katherine and isobel.

you know, theyve said over and over that this season they are really gonna go into the WHY elena looks like katherine, and considering isobel is her birth mother, i think she might have a pretty big part in it all.

so hopefully we'll see her again at the end of the season.

Exactly

Especially with Isobel's research. Right now Elena doesn't think Isobel cares at all, but it would be nice to see her finding out that isn't true..

Okay, I've got theory

Isobel is being blackmailed by Kat to help her and she's doing what she has to - but I think in the end when it comes to choose between being loyal to Kat or being a "Mother" to Elena she'll choose Elena and prove that she cares - i really hope it works that way - it's obvious she's not the bad one, no matter what

This is what I think too.

When it comes down to it, Isobel will want to protect Elena, as she was doing in 1x21, albeit in a strange way

i'm also prying for some miracle to happen that Is and Alaric get together so Elena gets real family - what Isobel did after Alaric told her to erase his memory was (in my book) the act of love from her part - yea she did it, but i think only because she cares deeply for him - what do ya think about her and Alaric's relationship - after all, they're still maried

Maia, I definitely want Isobel back and to be 'redeemed' in a way by fighting for/ saving Elena. I think maybe she'll die trying to do so

I want Elena to discover that she was right about Isobel, that she does have some good in her and to know that she does/ did care about her a lot.
