The brooding vampire and the bubbly cheerleaderā¦ At first glance the idea of suffering Stefan Salvatore and cheerful Caroline Forbes sounds almost impossible. But Carolineās initial attraction to the mysterious newcomer proved to be the s t a r t of and interesting relationship between the two. Determined and driven, Caroline jumped head first into her crush on Stefan. But her actions were quickly dismissed by Stefan who failed to see past Carolineās surface image. He soon found himself caught in up in the lovely Elena Gilbert. Caroline graciously stepped aside as her good friend started a hectic relationship with her previous crush. Through out Stefanās relationship with Elena, he and Caroline formed a timid friendship. In a shocking turn of events, Stefan even proved to step up and become a s a v i o r to Caroline when his devious brother Damon put her life in immediate danger. Fast forward a year later and Caroline herself is the danger. Newly free Katherine devised a plan to t u r n Caroline into a vampire, sending a message to the Salvatore brothers. This message proved to affect Stefan greatly. He immediately positioned himself as Carolineās protector and m e n t o r. Saving her first from Damon and then from herself, Stefan gave Caroline hope. His faith in her thus far has been unwavering, much like her trust in him. Understanding and comfort lies between them, & thereās no telling what will come next. the fans:  Stefan Salvatore is a new student at Mystic Falls High. āHis name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his uncle up in the old Salvatore boarding house. He hasnāt lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so heās moved around a lot. Heās a Gemini and his favorite color is blue.ā

Caroline:I havenāt been in the sun for days and everyoneās at the swimming hole having fun and Matt is there and he finally told me that he loves but Iāve been blowing him off and now you want me to eat bunnies and Iām kind of freaking out. Okay? And now youāre laughing at me. . . . Caroline: Why are you looking at him with your serious vampire look? Stefan: My serious vampire look? Caroline: I mean itās different from your worried vampire look, neither of which stray too far from your āhey itās Tuesdayā look.  "Always looking out for me." "Well you don't make it easy."  Caroline: So youāre saying that now Iām basically an insecure, neurotic, control freak on crack? Stefan: Well, I wasnāt gonna say it like that, butā¦ ... Stefan: Oh. I get it, okay, you think Iām too serious. Is that it? Caroline: I mean, I wasnāt gonna say it like that, butā¦ 
 Stefan: Youāre letting your jealousy get the best of you. Caroline: Oh, so now I have magnified jealousy issues too. Thatās great. Stefan: I told you this wasnāt going to be easy. If you do not support the Stefan/Caroline pairing then I suggest you post elsewhere. This is supposed to be a safe place for shippers to post. My co-mods and I will not tolerate any trolling and baiting. If you think this warning applies to you then don't bother posting in here. __________________

  I think you should take out the engaged. I personally don't want the Married in since it's too sad but the ring should definitely stay. Stefan had his ring on in the afterlife and Caroline was still wearing hers  Quote:

The afterlife is truly eternal and will be there forever. And you know I'm a Caroline fan and a multishipper. I don't believe in things like soulmates and having only one person out there for you. Do you wanna see the long list of people I've shipped her with?  I think Caroline will definitely fall in love again and be happy. She deserves it. I might love SC but I love the characters as individuals which is why I'm relieved that Stefan is with Lexi and his brother and no longer plagued by the demons that haunted him for almost 200 years. And when Caroline goes to the afterlife she's going to see Liz, Tyler, Matt, Bonnie, Elena, Alaric, her kids, many many generations of her great-great-great......grandchildren and all the new friends she's made. She'll even get to see all her boyfriends she had after Stefan. This is not just about Stefan for me.__________________

And maybe it's my own personal beliefs of an afterlife existing and that there'll come a day where earth will no longer exist which is influencing my POV. To each their own  __________________

I always check the TVD tags on tumblr, reactions on reddit and other platforms, and I have seen a lot of people disliking the finale, but there were also quite a lot of people who liked it. I am somewhere in the middle
 I have seen the ship wars continue even after the finale  People claiming that "their" ship won and was endgame and mocking other ships for not being endgame etc... Or bitter and disappointed fans who don't want to accept that their ship was not endgame and are quite rude towards others. This is really sad, but unfortunately some fans always feel like they have the right to be rude or make fun of other fans and insult them. However, I feel like I am too old to even care about this But what I haven't seen AT ALL was people wishing that Caroline would die, too. I haven't seen a single post about this. Maybe I was just looking on the wrong platforms. Caroline will have a long vampire existence with happy and sad moments, she will make tons of new friends and fall in love again, possibly multimple times and maybe even with Klaus (as hinted in the finale). All of this doesn't mean that she will ever forget Stefan. He will always be the love of her life. And like they both said, they will love each other forever I just feel for her when I know what she has to go through during the next century. She will have to watch everyone die. Elena, Damon, Bonnie, Alaric, Josie, Lizzy, Matt, Jeremy and so on. So I can totally see her looking for some vampire-vampire friendships as well. When I woke up this morning my eyes were swollen from all the crying yesterday The finale really had me in tears the whole time. Plus, I think we got two of the best acted scenes of the whole show. One was the scene of Stefan and Damon fighting over who was going to sacrifice himself, and the other one was Caroline being in the car, finding out about Stefan's sacrifice and calling him. I think the acting was amazing in these two scenes.  I'm glad that I have this thread here to talk about the finale with you guys!   |

I completely disagree bout the title, I want and need "married" to be in there at some point. I understand its sad that he died but that doesnt mean they weren't married! He died married to Caroline and imo should be in the title at least in the future....
THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD! WTF was going on in the last thread? Like, what the heck. I realize that some people are upset they didnt get what they wanted but wow, so childish... anyways, glad its been taken care of! ANYWAYS I dont think its fair to say the writers only care about one character. As a Damon fan i certainly didnt feel like they cared about him at different points through the series. They had an idea for what they wanted and people either will like it or they wont. Doesnt mean they prefer one character. I dont think their intentions are to upset people lol... We were ALL miserable at one point in the series over different things. No doubt in my mind that when Caroline dies she will be seeing the brothers because hello, they are her family now! And family is most important .I think they were trying to say you will see everyone you love when you die (which is what my mom was saying to me all along lol) so when you think it about it like that it makes you really happy, that the show established this afterlife where our characters can all be together again. That does not mean FYI that i think she will or want her to commit suicide! good grief. I want her to live her life and be happy. if she meets someone else in the meantime that is great. but she still loved Stefan. At the time the series ended, Stefan is the most important person to her so thats all that really maters to me. No use being sad and bitter about the ending because you cant change it, so try to see the good in finale and the good in the SL's, even if you aren't happy right now.... __________________

I think it is absolutely okay for people to be hurt and bitter about the finale. As a Stefan fan first I am absolutely devastated. Stefan has been depressed for so long, and his happy ending for Julie/Co was to commit suicide... and it happened on his wedding day. I mean come on, of course fans are going to be hurt and pissed off. I get that some fans liked the finale and that is great, I am glad that you can see the positives in it... I can't. I think Stefan deserved far better then what he got in this finale
SC didn't even get a honeymoon....__________________

The fact that JP said that killing Stefan was something they decided on two week's before they wrote the finale or something because somebody had to die. It was honestly looking like they were building up to him choosing life and happiness. I just can't see any positives in someone being so depressed that suicide is the only option. JP said he died to get peace implying he never would have been happy. My solace is that he isn't suffering anymore. And that Caroline being the optimistic person that she is will have many happy moments in her life.

I was legit quickly scrolling passed gifsets so I wouldn't have to look at them. I don't think I can watch any SC scenes for a while. So it's time for me to go back to super study mode and take a break from fandom stuff for a while. I'm really glad SC is the only OTP I have and that all my other ships are casual ones. It's just a tv show and yet it makes us feel so much __________________

And like you guys are discussing in the episode discussion thread, I agree 100% with all of you who are saying that it is ridiculous to try selling Stefan's suicide as his personal happy ending to the audience. I think I won't be able to watch any Stefan scenes in a long time, because it simply hurts to much, knowing what the writers did to him. Quote:

TVD and Steroline in particular has been a part of my life for the past 8 years, so saying goodbye to the show and the ship hurts quite a lot.  I'm just so happy that I have you guys here to exchange thoughts about this show and the characters! |
