I've been meaning to listen to the song but I can't. During the episode I didn't pay attention to the music but everyone is raving about this song. I'm not exactly angry over the finale. I've accepted it but I don't feel like watching scenes or listening to music from tvd. I don't mind looking at gifsets though

^ Heh, I think got over the finale. I still don't like what they did to Stefan, but life has to go on. But I admit I don't have much desire to go back to old TVD episodes, either.

The problem for me is that it feels like such a waste rewatching scenes. Because you see the character growth from Stefan but then it amounted to nothing Same with Gossip Girl. Ever since my ship there got ruined I had no desire to rewatch because the scenes felt like a lie. The show completely disregarded that relationship.

And SC is the fifth ship this year where I've had to deal with a death but I can easily rewatch scenes of the other four ships because the death didn't ruin the journey for me.

It sucks when 1/2 of the ship dies but I guess ive had a lot of ships in my time that got WAY worse endings. I mean, dont even talk to me about freffy.

IMO SC got a better ending than some couples do. And I still consider them endgame. I hate that they didnt get a happy ending but it doesnt ruin their scenes at all, I can watch them all over and over and enjoy their journey. I'll just end it with the wedding episode.

Well I don't think death ruins a ship. My problem isn't SC. It's Stefan, and his journey was ruined for me. I don't feel like watching Stefan scenes with anybody. And I have had ships that have ended terribly where I never wanted the characters to interact again This is not one of them.

That is pretty much my problem.. I love Stefan, I mean Stefan is really the only reason I stuck with this show for as long as I did, but his character literally went no where, he had no progression at all. He started the show as guilt ridden and depressed and he pretty much ended the show the exact same way. His peace was death... even though he had a beautiful wife and the promise of a pretty good future. It sucks that Stefan believed death was his peace

^ Exactly. His journey and everything that happened to him during S1-S8 seems so pointless. At the end, there wasn't any progression at all.
