Goodbye Rick he wanted to believe she was still there i think isobel, is still trying to find the middle line between vampirism/humanity she comes to town telling him she'll start killing citizens in town and to not look for redeeming qualities, but this scene where she compels him, she regrets becoming her research  __________________

Oh god!!! I look away from this thread for a few days and I come back to this
That scene is THE defining moment for me. I couldn't not ship them after that scene. Which is ironic because it's the very scene that ended them  I can't help myself though. I know she's a guest star and I know they haven't had that much screen time but they just CALL TO ME!!! I love them more than it's healthy. I have this uneasy feeling Isobel will die for him or something and I will be crying for DAYS!!!! __________________

But it would be so goddamn angsty and beautiful if she did. It would be fitting since she has already fulfilled her purpose in life in becoming a vampire being so obsessed with it all this time and it would show Alaric just how MUCH she DOES love him. (and she won't be able to compel him to forget that!) Yes that scene made me ship them too. __________________

They always kill my favorite guest stars eventually just to hurt me
If they don't keep her around to start a relationship back with him, they so would Angst and heartache on multiple levels. Even if I'm ready for it now, I'm pretty sure I'll be shaking on the floor sobbing my head off if/when it happens now... __________________

 There's a reason why they didn't kill her the first time but I honestly can't imagine her just leaving again Which would be sad |

Yea, they kept her alive so her compulsion would stick and because there was a few more dangling storylines attached to her.
If they tie those storylines up this time though... It might not end so well for her __________________

Speaking of... Do you think that once she's dead, her compulsion on Ric would wear off?? I never actually thought about it, but it worked on Katherine, although Katherine is a vampire compelled by an Original, which is a bit different, but still!! Okay, my head is spinning

Assuming the compulsion comes undone and he remembers what she said... ugh... HEARTBREAK ALL OVER AGAIN!
As if that scene didn't hurt enough the first time edit: yea, that's what I've been assuming this whole time. I figure if it works for originals, then their descendants must be similar just with less powers  __________________

I'm just really curious because for all we know, it wears off when the person turns into a vampire, and it could be different when it comes to people being compelled by a vampire, but if it happens... oh boy, this is not going to be pretty
