++About Steven++
Steven R. McQueen was born on July 13th, 1988 in Los Angeles, CA,
to Chad McQueen and Stacey Toten, and he is the grandson of
action movie icon Steve McQueen. Steven never met his
famous grandfather however, as he was born 8 years after his
grandfather's death, but he was named in his honor. Steven's
parents divorced when he was a toddler, and his mother soon
married Hockey legend Luc Robitaille. The "R" in his stage
name is in honor of his step-father.

Steven started acting professionally in 2005 when he was 16,
and quickly landed a recurring gig on the hit WB show
"Everwood" playing Kyle Hunter, a young piano prodigy who
Ephram taught. After Everwood was canceled, Steven was cast in
the Disney Channel Original Movie "Minutemen" where he
played Derek. He has been working steadily lately with guest
spots on "CSI: Miami", "Without a Trace", and "Numb3rs". He
won a role in the short film, "Club Soda", which he won an
award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for Best Male
Performance. He recently finished filming the movie "Piranha
3-D" which co-stars Jessica Szohr, Elisabeth Shue, and Jerry O'Connell.

++About Jeremy++
Jeremy Gilbert is a main character and male protagonist of The Vampire Diaries.
Jeremy is the adoptive brother and biological cousin of Elena Gilbert and a former medium,
since the Other Side was destroyed, as well as one of the Five.
His best friends are Matt Donovan and Bonnie Bennett, who's also his girlfriend.
Since he came back to life in the Season Four finale, he was living in the Salvatore Boarding House with his sister
(when she's not at college) and her boyfriend, Damon Salvatore since their house was destroyed by her after his death.
However, he moved out halfway through Season Five and is now living with his best friends, Tyler and Matt, at Tyler's house.

TFTNT :flowers:

I really liked Jeremy in the last episode, how he stood up for Bonnie and risked his life for her, really show his deep love for her :in_love: :sigh:

As much as I'll miss Jeremy (a lot), I think I can understand why he should leave and try to have a normal life, at least for now  Even more to follow his artistic side

TFTNT!

IDK, I don't think it makes sense SL-wise...at least not right away. I could see him going in a few episodes from now when Bonnie eventually comes but not before she does. He has expressed a want to get out Mystic Falls but he's also very protective of the ones he loves so it would make sense for him to wait till Bonnie is back, let her know how he's feeling and let the chips fall where they may. I think it's rushed because of Steven leaving the show.

YW

I agree and it'll make even less sense when he doesn't come back to see Bonnie as soon as she returns.

This for sure  But I also think they are not probably sure when she'll be back, they think it'll take a lot for it  Granted, I'm the first to say Jeremy leaving before she's back is a bit forced for his character, but I think it's about timing too

Tftnt :flowers:

When the writers bother to care about my Hunter Prince he can have these hero moments I enjoyed so much in the last episode :in_love:

Jeremy leaving right now is a bit forced but if Steven wanted out there wasn't much they could do. At least he knows Bonnie is going to come out of the prison world, I feared he was going to leave before they had found a way to save her.

AlienSoul 02-06-2015 03:39 PM

TFTNT.

This episode just proved that when give good material, Steven nails it, and Jeremy is a very lovable character. We would have had fewer of those Jeremy haters out there had he been given better plots than being a punching bag for the past 2 seasons.

The same thing happened in s4. The writers gave him a really cool SL, and when he died a lot of people were like "Why did they have to kill him off just when he got interesting?" This applies to the majority of the supportive cast, not just Jer. They're neglected and so the audience no longer feels emotionally connected to them.

Hollywood Life interviewed McQueen a few hours ago. We should see the article or video sometime in the next couple of days.

I think this whole Nova Scotia thing should bring her back soon, the writers can't keep this up. Although...they did it longer than I ever expected.

True  it just doesn't fit his character.

I really did grow to love Jeremy by the end of Season 1\Season 2. And I agree, when they give him SLs, he knocks it out the park. He's just rarely given the opportunity to show his chops. I can say that about a lot of the supporting cast. What has everyone's favorite SL of Jeremy's been?

AlienSoul 02-07-2015 01:08 AM

The whole of season 1, I loved. Probably because the show was fresher, Steven younger, and KW the King still wrote for the show. I loved everything about it. Not to mention, in season 1 he was treated like a main char.

Season 3 and 4 were potentially great, but they led nowhere. They could have been so great, ugh.

Season 6 is my least favourite season for him, because he's been OOC and he has barely had any scenes.

FireQueen 02-07-2015 07:22 AM

In S1 he had the best storyline, he started out as this kid who was still grieving his parents, doing drugs and picking fights with Tyler, but as soon as things went better for him he proved to be smart and curious, started researching things and was able to figure out on his own vampires were real.

S2 was good too. His change into a man who wanted to protect his loved ones felt logical and believable, especially after experiencing so much loss in his life.

S3 was my least favorite season for him. The medium storyline was a joke and he missed the back half of the season after being compelled to leave for Denver :pout:

The hunter storyline had potential but the execution was awful and he ended up being killed off. In S5 and S6 he didn't have any storyline at all.

In the end the only one who cared for Jeremy was KW, once he left things went south for the character. JP gave him random or underdeveloped storylines and CD basically admitted she has a hard time writing for Jeremy and Matt.

AlienSoul 02-07-2015 07:33 AM

She did? Ugh. And she's co-writing the next episode. I'm glad it's Brian Young who's writing it with her.

I totally agree. I loved Jeremy the most when KW wrote him, and he felt real. Damn it, I wish he'd never left. Wasted potential is such a sad thing.

It's weird because she wrote 2x10, which is one of my favorite episodes for Jeremy. Probably she can write good episodes but is a bad showrunner that can't create interesting storylines for the supporting cast?

AlienSoul 02-07-2015 12:54 PM

Idek. Possibly. She can't be that terrible if Julie wanted her to be co-producer. But she ain't that good, and, like you pointed out, she doesn't seem to know how to write a story that works in the long run.
