It has to be. I mean, Klaus even mentioned Hayley's death and Elijah had no reaction. Granted, they were talking about an urgent matter but still. It made no sense to me.

Most of this season made no sense in terms of Haylijah. It looked like things were getting back to normal after 5x08/5x09 but then this episode happened. Maybe next ep will change my mind, hopefully

I think it's a problem in the writers room. The writers from the episodes probably have different views and then we see this mess on screen
