when i see this gifs of them i remember then that klaus is not always a jerk and can display as much charm of his own as elijah , its just caroline is not around and she is the one person who brings that side of him out without super human effort

Yeah, most of the time Klaus was kind and charming with Caroline... That's why we love him so much... we've seen his soft side, it's just not out in the open for everyone to see.

I actually love Klaus' face when Caroline arrives at his place yelling his name and his face is all "I don't have time to play nice now because I'm pissed" and then when she starts telling him how important her "crisis" is he just can't help but smile.... that's a priceless scene to me
