I loved seeing him just stand up like that & admit what he was feeling - but he also did it in a way that would protect Caroline, & push Matt back to her, because he knew that that was what Caroline wanted

I love their development in s2, but it took a little while to get going & then he disppeared for a couple eps too, so I think that's why s3 edges it out, because they were finally together. Even though they shipped him off in that season & s4 as well
