He did, they had the most mature kind of love than anyone on the show imo. It strengthened who they both were as people, it made them better, but it didn't define either of them

Idk, it's possible, but honestly after Caroline slept with Klaus, I didn't really want her anywhere near Tyler.....that for me was a dealbreaker.

Guess there could be a chance, who knows I agree with starryeyesxx that after 5x11's events their relationship was ruined badly, but surely if Tyler had come back and stayed alive and with Stefan dead I'd have rathered see Caroline to end up with him than with Klaus or Matt

Maybe they could have started as friends again, got close again and even spent life together... even though I fear Tyler could have felt a second choice anyway after Stefan

I agree, their relationship wasn't the same after that. I liked them because how pure and healthy their love was and 5x11 definetely ruined that about them. I still would have prefered Tyler to be Caroline's endgame over any other guy, especially Klaus.

I'm glad that we all feel the same way about 5x11. There was just no going back after that....I still would have rather seen them end up with each other than anyone else, but that would just be a band aid on a bullet wound. They were never going to be the same after that...
