Exactly, it would have been a hollow victory but still better than the alternative.
Side note but I just read the most ridiculous thing about Julie Plec on Twitter.  Apparently she became a "woke feminist" after the election and decided to end an abusive relationship on one of her shows as a result of that. I think she was referring to Elijah/Hayley. But what I find ridiculous is that she still sees no problem with teasing Klaroline, a ship that is uniquely abusive even for this show. Because the fact is that Klaus attacked Caroline when he was in love with her while being fully aware of what he was doing and he did it just to hurt her/kill her. I know people like to use the excuse that every relationship on this show is abusive which I don't even think is true but whatever, it's still the only ship where the guy has willingly tried to kill the girl he was in love with. __________________

Julie Plec is the last person in the world who should get to call herself a feminist.
 I never followed The Originals, so I have no idea what the Elijah/Hayley dynamic was like. Was it abusive? I'm betting yes, because the majority of the relationships she's written have been at some point, so it wouldn't surprise me - but I can't believe that they'd be worse than the other relationships she's written where she's happy that so many young girls idolize.... The thing about Klaroline is that Candice openly hates them & Julie & Candice seem to hang out a lot, so if Julie suddenly wants to be a 'woke feminist', I can't believe that they haven't had a conversation about it... __________________

She did Kyle XY before but that's all I know.
 Her lack of logic just frustrates me. I hope Candice sticks to her guns. She have for this long but I fear she might give in as a favor to JP since they're friends. __________________

Same, I don't think it's something she would enjoy but JP also managed to talk Trevino into coming back just to be killed off so..
Why the cast seems to like this woman so much is a mystery to me. __________________
