I can't! I miss them so much, they were just so them in that last scene. You could tell that they were going to miss each other and it didn't have to be overtly sappy but still Alaric cried and when he was finally passing Damon had tears in his eyes.

What breaks me in this scene is that Alaric is crying - this is from a man who has never cried, never shed a tear throughout all the deaths he's experienced and all the losses in his life -- and here at the end of the day when he's losing the life that he's made for himself with a best friend and two kids, it's clear how hard it is for him to let go, and a part of him probably is crying because he doesn't want to let go.

I will miss the lovely interactions of Ric with all his peoples. But-but Matt is soooo chillingly good at Evil - like sometimes it just makes all other villain's look like amateurs

Matt is so good at playing the villain! I remember loving his rendition of Klaus so this was kind of similar but more twisted.
