That episode was just a mess, but ok .

Damon - Being the hero, but telling Stefan not to touch "his girl" really offended my feminist-self, but considering how problematic this show is and how they always seem to treat women as objects and claim it's romantic it's not that surprising. Aside from that he was fine this episode, but I really can't take him being friendly with Caroline seriously.

Stefan - He just came off as really pushy toward Bonnie, imo. Like I get he's feeling insurmountable guilt, but to basically say how he won't stop until she forgives him is just messed up. She shouldn't have to forgive him just because he feels terrible. He should feel terrible about Enzo.

Bonnie - Nothing good or bad to say tbh. She was just kind of there in the mess that is this show. I did enjoy her revenge against Kai though. Poetic and hilarious. Wish that she had more scenes with him though. I think Chris and Kat have great chemistry and she deserved more time to confront him for everything he did to her.

Enzo - You precious ghosty. I like that he was trying to save Bonnie and her kind heart by telling her she should learn to forgive Stefan. Unlike Stefan he was doing it for her. Stefan came off more selfish wanting forgiveness while Enzo was legit murdered by the guy and yet still was selfless enough in his love of Bonnie to want her to have peace of mind and heart.

Caroline - Nothing to say. Just super disappointed in how far she's fallen to me.

Cade - I'll miss your perfect teeth.

Alaric - His crushed balls saved the episode for me tbh .

Kai - I will miss you CobraKai1972. You are an ahole and a complete sociopath, but highly entertaining. Rip "Steven" and Alaric's balls.

Katherine - The myth. The legend. The baddest bitch of all. Perfect for pre-season 4 Katherine. Everything else after was just a mess to me and I don't see this (her wanting to stop a wedding ) to be any different.

Honorable mention of the night was finally seeing the mystic falls of Mystic Falls . How mystical these falls were.

I don't think Stefan should feel guilty about Enzo at all... Enzo is just as gross as the rest of the vamps on this show I think Stefan should feel guilty about hurting Bonnie and I personally think he does.... but maybe that is just my Stefan bias coming out Besides I am so bitter about how badly this show has treated Stefan that I really want all the other characters to suffer as well

Kai is so, so, soooo overrated... I don't get his appeal... he is like a Klaus/Silas/Damon mixed breed, only he is lamer.. I really don't get his popularity.

Excited to see Katherine Maybe she kills Stefan and takes him to rule the underworld with her

Meh I'm probably projecting my insane annoyance and disappointment with this show onto everything it does so bias is everywhere .

I enjoy Kai because he does remind me of a Silas/s2 Klaus mix (not Damon ). I don't think he was the best villain ever and to hear JP say Kai was the best just makes it clear how much she was avoiding Klaus/the originals. I think best villain goes to s2/s3 Klaus and Katherine tbh. Kai was just a breath of villainous fresh air after the disappointment of the lame traveler witches imo.

I wish I could like Kai... I see so many fans get so invigorated by him showing up.. yet every single scene he has been has just amped up my hatred for him even more.. he is so very annoying and not in a fun way.

Maybe a small scene at the end of her, but I agree. I think had they really had Nina/Katherine for episode 15 she would have been in the promo instead of just dark curly hair and black clothes .

This was a good episode! There was so much going on. It's still hard to feel like the series is coming to an end. But I think so far they are doing a decent enough job... I'm hoping the last two episodes have a slightly bigger impact on me emotionally. There's a lot of potential. I don't want them to screw it up...

I dont really see the appeal of Kai either, he annoyed me when he was on the show so I don't really care that he's back... And seriously why are we wasting screentime on hearing him sing? And why hasn't he killed anyone yet? The ending with Bonnie was great. The spin doctors song playing.

Alaric was a badass this episode taking Kai down! Loved Caroline helping too. Him wanting to start a school for supernatural kids was sort of cool I guess, to tie into his teaching.

I was glad to get some Bonnie focus! The Bonnie/Stefan interaction was nice. I loved that he apologized and she forgave him ish. Her scenes with Enzo were sweet I guess but slightly boring. And their "goodbye" felt pretty anti-climatic? I loved the DB scene though and her reaction to hearing that he died. Loved the scene with Cade too.

Stefan packing the picture of SC . His stupid plan to kill Cade alone obviously would go wrong! He's just a human, wtf. But it was cool that Damon and Bonnie came in to help and Stefan was the one that was able to actually stake him. The ending SC scene was SO CUTEEEE. I'm so glad that Stefan apologized, gave that big speech, and proposed again. The kiss was so cute and I love that Caroline said yes and didn't turn him down.

Damon = . Sacrificing himself to save SE was wonderful. Also loved the Stefan/Damon and Damon/Caroline scenes. Stefan holding Damon when he "died" was sweet. But the whole "i guess I was blasted back into my body" was pretty stupid! HOW is that possible? The ending convo was great though. Damon looking at Elena's body.

I will say I think its great that they are tying Katherine back into everything. She was the season 1 "villain" and now she's running hell. I think its appropriate.

Exactly, I think the common theory right now is that she'll either possess one of the two Donovan women or Caroline. But if she does appear at the end then I can see why the promo didn't show that.

Hahaha--I enjoyed it, but you are right! I basically had to ignore all the unbelievable stuff like...

Alaric not taking two extra seconds to ring the bell two or three more times so Stefan could kill the devil..you know, so everyone including his kids would be safe!

I know! However, that seemed less ridiculous when compared with the ending calling Katherine worse than the devil? She certainly was their greatest nemesis but really?

What I did love was the scene when Bonnie fights Cade for Damon's soul. That was awesome. Then Stefan sneaks up on Cade who is in the middle of all this and kills him. You have to ignore all the stupid stuff like the knife being left in the open, etc. The special effects of Cade burning up were also cool and the hug between the brothers was touching. I liked that Cade made Damon choose between his brother and Elena too--it really is the point of the show--and it was telling that maybe Damon has grown, when he refused to choose, instead "choosing himself".

I didn't catch that, but cool! The setting was perfect for the action, and with the lighting and photography, it made the action mysterious and symbolic, like it was the River Styx, the border between life and death.

Cool idea to tie Katherine in to the end of the series, but how in the heck are they going to wrap all this up well in 2 hours?
