ITA with you Bonnie, he is different, but he is far from being better.

Katherine really cared about Elijah, the one and only selfless act we've saw from her was for Elijah when she handed over the cure to him, and for him to not be there in her final hours (as far as he knew) was just rude.
And I'm with Audrinaa in this one, I don't get how interesting it is to see a man that was so focused and mature being in a stare contest with a girl like he is a teenager... sorry, that's completely assassination of his character to me. Also, where the hell are the suits?!! I don't want him walking around the house in one, but he never wears them anymore... it was his trademark (even Sabine referenced that when she first met him)

Katherine is not a good person, but she admits it, and Elijah was the same (before his complex of being better than others hit him), so to me they were perfect for each other..... Damn it!! I really wanted closure for them in the crossover

That's the thing, he fought hard to keep Katherine alive, and ever after 500 years he still wanted to connect with his Katerina... and now when she is dying he doesn't even bother to go?!!! It's weird.... I'm pissed at that

yeah... well, people I guess do fall in and out of love at almost every age in some regards, though maybe not just as quick as it seems to happen when you're young.

But yes, I agree . It was weird that there was nothing. And I'm not entirely feeling his character on TO in general. Yes, Elijah on TVD was focused on family.

But in some ways I almost feel like he's become obsessive about it here and that when he gets let down by someone big (Klaus, Hayley, both, etc) he might be setting himself up for having some kind of nervous break down or something

Well, my feelings for Elijah sure changed since TO started... I think the writers are having a lot of trouble realizing what type of character they want him to be... For now I see him as a bipolar that really is just an hypocrite.
I mean, he was all angry and betrayed that Hayley made him break a promise he made in the beginning, just so he could change his mind (at least that was what it looked like) when she said "who cares about something you promised 200 years ago"... if he was that ticked off about breaking it in the first place, it shouldn't matter how long it was.... so he either shouldn't have said that in the first place, or just stick with it longer....Or when he said he would protect Davina no matter what, but was the first original to jump on board of participating in the Harvest...

Ugh... that scene would be so much better if she had said her mind and walked away while he looked at her retreating back and contemplate what she had said... the almost kiss was forced IMO... I'm biased since I don't get the ship though

But my issue is still the same... Elijah needs to be more centered again.... he is going with the flow and that's not interesting at all

agreed... it would have been better if she had done that too... even if I liked the idea of them which I don't I agree that it would have been better if she had said what she said and then walked away without the almost kiss.
