Hi there.

I'm walking down the memory lane... I think I've last been here like over a year or so FanForum says... but it feels like 2 years at the least. And definitely like 3 since I last was very active.

To be perfectly honest, I felt like it should have been made clearer how much of a struggle for Alaric it was to erase Elena's memories. How much it hurt to erase how love transformed Damon and made him a better version of himself. And how he's practically the only one now that used to have that connection with him. He's all alone in that now. I get that it was an impossible choice, a favor... one Elena was privileged enough to ask for but I would've expected Alaric to go 'are you kidding me? hell no!' before he went all understanding, like 'are you sure?'.

We know there will be a parallelism between 5x22 , bonnie trying to bring Damon back from the other side and Alaric trying to remove the compulsion from elena and both failing.

At least he did say he missed Damon when he was talking to Jer.

At least that. And I was so glad he had that moment of complete honesty and set Jer straight meanwhile because I wouldn't take another episode of self-pity and wallowing. It was pathetic.

Jer still needs a haircut. His hair makes me doubt his attractiveness.
