They would never kill off Damon, though and I doubt Elena will ever want Matt again, although I feel like he would take her back in a heartbeat.

It would be weird if she did. I think Matt would take her back because in the books, she's it for him,even if she never, ever wants him back. Then again, she's a B in the books.

I'm treating Ian's interview like Tatiana Masley's on Orphan Black. They swore that one of the characters were dead and brought her back after making us bitter and sad.

It's different, though because Tat Maslany probably didn't know for sure if that character would be brought back. JP already confirmed that Damon would return and Ian was just joking about Damon being gone for good, but the fans took it seriously anyway.

Then they're idiots. Book canon has him alive and show canon will always center around him. Even if he's an ass who does terrible things, Damon is transparent. I always liked him better because he's not broody and doesn't try to get on a high horse.

What would the show even be like without him? Wtf would they do with Enzo and Alaric? I mean,we all know that there's a triangle there.

People need to remember that writers can lie or change their minds whenever they want-They're writers.

*Pops up out of nowhere* I'm voting for 33, because Bonnie's lie was completely unecessary. I feel like the writers are behind in that sense. Bonnie went through too much with Jeremy over the summer for her to think keeping her possibly disappearing a secret from him was a good idea. It doesn't feel in character at all. It felt like we were suddenly back in season 2.
