That's a good way of looking at it! And you are right, season 3 wasn't all that long because they had the christmas episode in 410 or so, so thats funny that season 3 was so short.

As a DE fan, the cheerleading annoyed me but I love it in a way because Caroline was always on Team Stefan. She always cared about him and rooted for him and saw the good in him. So its great for my shipper heart.

I dont want Stefan to be full on ripper! Or at the very least I dont want it to last long. Im sure well see D/S having fun for an episode or whatever, but I want Caroline to be able to pull Stefan back. Do you think hell get out of the year contract? Or will they do a time jump?

I thought it was back Feb 10? Weird, im not sure where I read that! But I just looked it up and you are right, jan 13... two days before my bday! Hope its a good one!

I also wonder if there's going to be a one year time jump, I think it's a very big possibility....

^ It is a possibility that 1 year will pass. One thing I can say for sure is that there's no way Stefan is gonna serve Cade for a year, get released and then flip it back and continue his relationship with Caroline. That's way too easy for this show.

My guess is Ripper Stefan will scare Damon and this will bring back Damon's humanity and he'll want out of the deal earlier to help his brother. It's time to get on that Damon redemption storyline already. Otherwise a year will pass and Cade will prove that he really is the Devil and try to figure out a way to keep Stefan as a servant and they'll have to defeat him.

It wasn't actually really Christmas in S4. It was spring and they just had a snow themed event or something.

What annoyed me the most was hearing the words 'epic' and 'soulmate'. I'm so against those words for some reason

^Same. Words 'epic' and 'soulmate' are such a big ones, and when someone says it, they sound somewhat... cheap and not real. And like they were trying to convince themselves that they're epic and soulmates. I'm more of a "actions speaks louder than words" girl, so I'm blah too when people say stuff like that.

Nah, I'm sure too that Stefan not serving Cade anymore after a year won't that easy. My quess is that Ripper!Stefan won't want to go back to his old life. And then Caroline will have to step in for real. But I wouldn't mind Damon wanting to break their deal with Cade earlier either.

epic in general was just used way too often on the show that season! not just to describe SE but it was used to describe other things as well, it got annoying. Almost as annoying as hearing the words "cure" are.

Agree. Unfortunately I think we are gonna have to see ripper stefan for at least a few episodes. its gonna suck. But I hope you are right that maybe Stefan will cause Damon to turn his back on (unless its gonna be Elena somehow) and then we can have Caroline help to turn Stefan's back on. I just sincerely hope it doesnt drag to the end of the season. We only have 9 episodes left.

AS much as i appreciate the show always coming up with new storylines and not dragging things out for multiple seasons, i am not a big fan of the current storyline at all. i want sybil dead soon and i want this cade thing to just come to close in about 5 more episodes. Then the last 4 can seriously just center around the characters and maybe a much simpler storyline. of course i would love to get elena back in the last 4 and have those revolve around HER somehow, but i imagine if we get nina back it'll only be in the finale so im probably grasping for straws.

I REALLY want Damon to be back to his hold self, having to deal with this weird version of him is just so hard for me to bear and I cant imagine it lasting the ENTIRE season, that would just suck for me.

Yeah it's better to see why two people work so well together instead of giving them labels. Also 'soulmate' implies that there's only one person that you can be with to be truly happy. And while I think it's possible to spend your whole life with one person, I also think it's discouraging to think that you could never be as happy with someone else.

I expect Stefan to feel guilty but I really hope it doesn't reach a level where he starts hating himself and doesn't think he deserves happiness.

The episode aired in December which is why I think they wanted the music. I'm judging from the clothes. In 3x18 they had winter coats and scarfs where as in the beginning of S4 they were dressed less warmly. Caroline wore a lot of dresses. Also the snow in 4x09 was fake but in S7's Christmas ep when Caroline visited her mom's grave there was real snow. I didn't know about the decorations all over town Maybe the town just wanted to spread a little cheer after all the deaths they had around that time.

I agree. I really want this storyline wrapped up quickly. There are too many relationships and characters that need proper closure. I still prefer S8 over S7 though. I really disliked S7's guest stars/storylines.

Ditto. I really hope that Cade's and sirens storylines ends soon, so after that writers could focus on everything's that really impostant on the show.

Exactly. And even Caroline must know this or she wouldn't have told Stefan he would move on in 4x19. I like that Lexi told Stefan that vampires can have multiple epic loves. That's more true

There's a SC fan account on twitter who's been posting gifs from every ep since the pilot for the past few weeks and she's on S4 now. That's been refreshing my memory.

i didnt remember a lot of season 3 either, and season 4 is even newer feeling to me. but thats because i only season season 3 twice only saw season 4 once. so the rewatch has been really fun, especially because i get to binge.

i really hated season 7. hated valerie, hated the heretics, hated the time jump intertwined with the rest because it was confusing, hated the salvatore mom storyline, hated S/C having issues.. just ick.

season 8 imo has been a lot better. I thought there were 3 really strong episodes. And im hoping it ends well. Julie and Kevin usually do some good ending episodes where they try to pack a punch.

Same. It was just a season with boring storylines, very annoying side characters and bad SC story.

The only guest star I liked in S7 was Rayna. I thought her backstory was interesting and she was like Stefan's therapist. She could have had a career as a motivational speaker And in the end it paid off because Stefan let Damon go into the vault alone willingly.

Rayna wasn't so bad. But the only one guest star that I liked was this Asian guy who was one of heretics and died very qiuckly. Imo he's the only one who deserved to stay longer on the show, he was played by a decent actor.
