Rewatching the pilot... holy crap the soundtrack was so much better back then. The show overall had a much more "expensive" feel to it.
Steroline's scripts may have been utter crap but Paul and Candice just kills it all the time. Pretty funny that they manage to entertain the shippers more with their interviews than their actual scenes on the show  __________________

While Kevin is a certified Stelena fanboy, I would hope he understands what an incredible disjoint it would be to bring those back together. It would tear up years of development in a completely unbelievable fashion. It would be How I Met Your Mother-esque.

I hope Williamson saw all episodes, because if he didn't, then I'm afraid he still sees SE as that epic couple.
Sadly, I think it wouldn't be very unbelievable if it turned out that Stefan still has some feelings for Elena. Appearently he has many loves in his life and if Elena all of sudden would be like: "Stefan! I love you and I want to be with you forevah!", then I can see him being coflicted about his feelings... like he was when whatsherface came back last season. :/ But Elena herself is a completely different story. I just see absolutely no way for her to start having feelings for Stefan again. It's Damon and only Damon for her, I think it was clear especially in S6. She still fell for him even though she only had bad memories of him. And when she turned human, her feelings for him did not change at all. Kevin can't ignore that and still be a good writer/showrunner. I hope he's more professional than HIMYM people. __________________
