6x02 - Yellow Ledbetter - October 9th

A LONG WAY HOME — Knowing she needs to come to terms with the loss of Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Elena (Nina Dobrev) turns to Alaric (Matt Davis) to help her move on with her life. Enzo (Michael Malarkey) convinces Caroline (Candice Accola) to join him as he tracks down a lead to get Damon and Bonnie (Kat Graham) back, but Caroline is shocked when they make an unexpected detour and uncover what Stefan (Paul Wesley) has been up to. Meanwhile, Matt (Zach Roerig) worries about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) who is spending time with Sarah (guest star Gabrielle Walsh), a mysterious girl who has recently arrived in Mystic Falls. Elsewhere, Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson), leader of the community protection program, makes an interesting confession to Matt about his connection to the town. Lastly, with the Other Side destroyed and gone for good, Damon and Bonnie reluctantly band together to uncover the mystery of where they are and how they are going to get back home.

A bit hard sometimes to stay awake until 2am and more, but for TVD this and more

Alright some scenes I watched in this episode....
Elena reverting back to her past hating Damon for snapping Jeremy's neck... the way it should've stayed.

On the real though... I'm upset that Elena loss her memories.

When Damon returns I think he'd be upset, even though the pain hurt... to erase the build up and all her memories, why would you do that?

SO many of us go through pain every day, some worst than others but it's how you move on and overcome it which makes your stronger.

We all know by the end of this season she'll remember everything though, so I just hope this isn't a lame attempt to but this triangle back... oh no.

I actually was liking Ivy.

It's so wrong that Stefan couldn't be happy with her because of Caroline "romantic" feelings and Enzo boy crush. I disliked how everybody try to make it seem like Stefan was the bad guy.

Like really? The same guy who was drowning away underneath water and no one noticed. Just stop it.

Enzo, I loved him but disliked him killing Ivy.

Bamon was obviously the highlight for me.

I feel bad for Jeremy.

This episode was better than the premiere, although not by much. This season is pretty boring so far.

I liked the Bonnie/Damon and Enzo/Caroline/Stefan scenes. Everything else? Meh. Poor Matt. He needs a better story....and unless he gets with one of the main girls, he's never going to be given a chance to be relevant.

And have they said how Damon is getting blood over there? Unless he is using Bonnie's or he has blood in the Salvatore house somewhere.

They was better making Damon human since he even eats regular food. lol

loved this episode so much. the enzo/caroline/stefan scenes were the best.

i felt bad for alaric and elena , those scenes were so sad. erasing damon from her life, reliving past memories of how they fell in love.

well tripp character had an interesting twist. driving vampires over the boarderline so they would all burn to death. what is up with that?

Episode was really perfect, I cried and laughed a lot, I'm loving this season until now, has potential

Be back tomorrow with a better comment, after the subs are out, but I really can't find anything I didn't like in the episode

He'll be hurt for sure

But I still cannot blame Elena completely though; yeah, it sucks she won't remember and she'll hate Damon, she chose a "easy way" and she'll be bitten back by it... but I think we understimate her pain right now and the consequences of it

Like she said, mourning Damon is making her dangerous and self-distructive, forgetting about him it's like a safeguard mechanism for herself and people around her

I really believe she couldn't mourn him in the usual way and move on bc of her deep love for him, not all people are so strong, especially with loss issues

Just my opinion of course

I'm not saying it's ok, I'm just saying it's another way to deal with it, and as a DE fan I'm intrigued by it, it can be really good for us, we never catch our breathe here

Don't think it'll be about bringing the triangle back, just post-poning DE as usual

Also, somebody on another site made a good point. That Damon and Bonnie are dealing with their pain and grief like adults while Jeremy and Elena are spiraling out of control. I wonder if that was done on purpose. Hmm.
