Well based on his talent that was miles ahead of anyone else it seemed given. But we have to remember he was also a very polarizing contestant so you never knew how the voting public would receive him. But I think after the first few live finals it was obvious he was gonna go very far and possibly to the end (although they did make it look like he was in the bottom 2 for a couple times - if that was true, who knows?

).

Now that you mention it....when watching Adam's season, I never really gave a thought on what the voting people thought or who was polarizing or not. I didn't really properly watch the result shows.

On that subject, I never thought the show would be back. I'm curious to how the feel would be, if it will feel the same, and if any other previous Idols will come back like Adam. I know some (Kelly and Jennifer Hudson I think?) are moving over to the The Voice to be judges.

It did come back surprisingly quickly.

Katy Perry will be a judge. And hopefully they can secure Ryan returning as a host. But it will be interesting to see if the show has changed.

It does air on a regular channel but it usually a week or two later so that's really annoying. I do hope they will air the new season too.

Btw, Ryan has been confirmed to return as a host!

We were talking about Adam in the break room at work today and everyone of course knew he was a runner up on AI but I have to admit I was a bit surprised that one guy knew that Kris was the winner that season.

It's hard to stay unspoiled if it's a week or two later, unless that doesn't matter to you. Some people like the suspense on who gets eliminated. Cool thing about Ryan, he's been on there forever. It would be weird and would take adjustment with a different host.

Thanks for sharing a bit of that convo you had, I like that everyone knew Adam. He was probably a fan of the season like us! I admit to only remembering 4 people on that season, though, so maybe I'm not that big of a fan.

I'm not trying stay unspoiled, I check the results first thing in the morning after the results show has aired.

It just sucks to wait to see the whole episode so I can comment on it, by the time it airs here, there are already like 2 newer ones out.

And yes, I couldn't imagine anyone else hosting.

No problem, I had to share the Adam love.

I don't know if he was a fan, could be, but that he actually knew his name was a great surprise.

I do remember more than 4 people from that season but I may have forgotten some of them.
