I agree, I think that its inevitable for them to break up, but with a pairing like Will and Emma its only enough believability for them to break up a certain amount of times before the idea just gets old, of them getting together and breaking up.

When Murphy stated that, I basically got from it he wants Will and Emma to be as ICONIC as Ross/Rachel, I don't think he meant that general aspect of that relationship.

Murphy has created a relationship timeline for the pair, so I think he is being very serious about the way he handles Will and Emma, especially since he has gone on record as stating how shocked he is at fans involvement in Will and Emma.

Have a question though this timeline they are creating, I take it as good but I have my doubts.

Is the timeline supposed to be for the entire run of the series?

I agree.

He meant they are the OTP of the show, not that their story is gonna go in the same way. I don't think they'll be together when the show comes back (or if they do, they're gonna have some rocky times ahead) and we all know that tv couples can't get together on the pilot and be happy ever since.
But when he said that, I felt like they are endgame. And that made me happy.

IK it's really quite early on in the shows run, but yes it's safe to say they are absolutely the OTP.

There are some OTP pairings you can just tell from the offset. W/E are one of those.

I really like this song for Emma to sing to or about Will sometime during the run of the show.

YouTube - Cascada - Everytime we touch (slow)

I think it reflects brilliantly what Will means to Emma.

This song is more well known for the techno version but I personally like this version better.
