Santana Lopez started off as a somewhat bitchy best friend to Quinn. All we knew about her was that she was on the Cheerios, a member of the celibacy club, was an undercover spy for Sue, and had a thing for guys with good credit scores.

However, as the show went on and the news of Quinn’s pregnancy spread around the school, Santana started to shine. Not only did she become the top dog of the school, but she got bitchier --- and better. Her one-liners are gold and she has become known for shedding light on the “sexting” phenomenon at McKinley.

She’s not just the resident ice queen though. She later revealed that being in the Glee club is the best part of her day, although if anyone repeated it she would deny deny deny. In a short amount of time she has grown into a more central character and we are excited to see where she goes as she season continues.

Naya Rivera has been in the entertainment business ever since she was a baby, but it was when she turned 4 that she landed the role of Hilary Winston on The Royal Family. After that, she was all over television on shows like Family Matters, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smart Guy, Even Stevens, The Bernie Mac Show, CSI: Miami, and 8 Simple Rules. It wasn’t until Glee, that she got her big break.

Portraying the sassy Santana Lopez, Naya has perfected the term HBIC. It’s almost eerie that she’s nothing like Santana at all. Naya is a do-gooder, working with various programs like Environment for People, and most recently feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving. She is a complete sweetheart and we are excited to see her develop more on Glee now that Santana got bumped up to a regular. Congratulations Naya!
