It's the best scene to date. I think it would've been awesome had the show went the shock route and had Rachel lose her virginity to Puck, or even Jesse. But had she slept with Puck in the first season...it would've been OOC for the Rachel we know now but for her back then, I think it could've worked. The writing would've just had to have changed a little.

I think it made more sense if Rachel had her first time with Puck in S2 than in S1. She almost went for it, until Puck stopped her.

It would've been a big shock for her to do that, even if she would've felt afterwards it was a mistake. Realistically, not every girl gives her virginity to the right guy and having that moment could've opened so many possibilities for Puck to develop real feelings for her because of the fact that she plays into that insecurity of his of being rejected by women. Well, at least it's an insecurity we saw in s1 when he was jealous of the fact that Finn always got the girl when Quinn was pregnant.
