Glee Ratings Thread #1: Because we want a full season!!
GLEE TV RATINGS THREAD #1 Ratings Explanation: For example if an episode had a household 1.4/2 rating, and a 18-49 adults 0.9 rating. Taking into account the above, a household rating means that there were 1.4% of all households (the homes with a tv set) which were tuned into the show when it aired. I believe it's been determined by the Nielsen Media Research (the ones who give out the daily numbers) that there are approximately 110,214,000 tv households in the U.S., which means that 1 percentage point represents 1.102140 households. Therefore if you take into account the 1.4 ratings point the episode had, that translates to having 1.4% of 110,214,000 households which means about 1,500,000 people (1.4 x 1.102140). The 2 household share number means that the 1,500,000 who were watching it that night, accounted for only 2% of the television audience who were watching tv while the show was on. The same applies for the 18-49 demographics. It had a 0.9 rating, so there were only 0.9% of all of the 18-49 adults watching the episode that night. Nielsen has determined that there are about 130.0 million adults who range between 18-49 in the U.S. Therefore, of the 1,500,000 people who tuned into watch the episode, 1.17 million of them were adults 18-49 (0.9 x 1.30). U.S. Ratings: Pilot Tuesday May 19, 2009 #TBA 9.619 Re-Air Wednesday September 16, 2009 #TBA TBA __________________
