I saw that too. The storyline where Ricky is homeless because he gets kicked out of his house was actually based on Wilsons real life expereince.

I loved this show. It started when I was about 12 I think and it was before I understood the cruel nature of TV execs and after it stopped being aired I figured I'd just wait for the next season .. and it never came I was so gutted lol. It just never came back and after a year or two I caught on lol (yeah so I was slow!). But now looking back on it, there's a part of me that's almost glad that it was left the way it was. It was so perfect and they weren't given the time to mess it up you know? MSCL truly is the greatest teen show ever made IMO (I don't count BtVS as a teen show) and I treasure my DVDs of it. It makes me yearn for the 90s when I watch it - all the plaid, all the baggies shirts on girls, all the Doc Martins and grunge lol. Good times.

Such a fantastic show. I loved the entire cast, and the dialogue was really honest and refreshing. I think my favorite quote from the show, which is included in the OP, is ... "Sometimes it seems like we're all living in some kind of prison, and the crime is how much we all hate ourselves. It's good to get really dressed up once in a while and admit the truth -- that when you really look closely, people are so strange and so complicated that they're actually beautiful. Possibly even me."

There are so many great moments on the show, I love that quote as well.

This is my fave scene tho:
