Buffy The Vampire Slayer - MOVIE(1992) #1:Does the word "duh" mean anything to you?
"Since the dawn of man, the vampires have walked among us, killing and feeding. The only one with the strength or skill to stop their heinous evil is the slayer, she who bears the birthmark, the mark of the coven. Trained by the watcher, one slayer dies and the next is chosen." __________________

Thanks for the thread.
I saw the movie before I even saw an episode of the series. Wasn't too impress with the movie. __________________

I liked the fact that she was a popular cheerleader.
But then again in the series in a flashback scene it showed Buffy was popular too before everything happened. __________________

Honestly, the movie and I have a love/hate relationship. I appreciate that it got Joss' foot in the door within Hollywood, and that it gave him the basis for the show later on, but the movie is just...it's a product of the late 80s/early 90s. It definitely feels like it's trying to be something like 'The Breakfast Club' or 'Sixteen Candles', and that's why it really falls flat compared to what Joss originally had planned.
