This is true..

i never really thought about it this way but it really was. both him and carlton were basically chasing girls. though i liked the family dynamic with ashley and just in general will and carlton being cousins i would like seeing a show with that family dynamic.

I've seen someone write that it would be cool to have a reboot where the plot is flip. That Will sends his son to Philly to get schooled in street.

That would be interesting. I'd like to see how it plays out.

you know that i would watch because its like someone who could potentially be prim and proper changing the other way. it would be more fun i think if it was carltons child rather than wills.

Loved Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Got every single episode and Will Smith is a great actor.
I loved Will and Carlton messing around with the women creating havoc and plenty of laughters - for me they made the show.
I liked sweet Ashley and Hilary was a blast in her dumb ways.
As for Vivian, I preferred Janet Hubert-Whitten playing her over Daphne Maxwell-Reid any day.
As for Uncle Phil, he was THE MAN - R.I.P James Avery
Remember Uncle Phil The Hustler in season 1?
And Geoffrey the butler with his sarcasm and wit on Uncle Phil - just timeless

My favorite episode was 72 Hours in the first series where Will made a bet with Carlton that he can't last 72 hours in the rough neighborhood of Compton and Carlton took the challenge and tried to act like a gangsta which he did well.
The most powerful episode has to be Papa's Got A Brand New Excuse - the episode where Will's father Lou decided to give him a surprise visit, then giving Will false promises and crushed him - boy the episode shooked me and Will's acting was amazing - I knew from there that he will make it huge in Hollywood films.

I love those two episodes too.

Not too sure if it's actually true but the episode with Will's dad, I read that where Will breaks down wasn't acting. In the script he was suppose to brush it off, but in rl Will's dad had left him.

I think there was an element of truth in that but the scene was powerful.
Another powerful scene was in Bullets in Bel Air where Will gets shot after saving Carlton's life while getting some money from the cash dispenser. It affected Carlton badly so he went out to buy a gun for protection and Will noticed he had a gun after he hugged Carlton while lying in hospital bed. He took the gun off Carlton and remove the bullets - Will showed immense talent in these scenes

He does.

With any show really episodes that deal with the tough stuff are usually the best ones.

Although we always remember the funny scenes in Fresh Prince but it is these dramatic scenes that makes the most impact. I mean the episode where Carlton accidentally overdosed and Will was racked with guilt over it even he saved his life. I know Will gets embarrassed of Carlton a lot of times and makes a mockery out of him but he really loves his cousin and protects him wholeheartedly = that's what I call true brotherhood - Will and Carlton had that.

The show had so many guest appearances in the 6 seasons they had. I wonder if anyone remembers them.
Here is my list:
John Amos, John Witherspoon, Jasmine Guy, Naomi Campbell, Stacy Dash, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Chris Rock, Tevin Campbell, Tyra Banks, Larenz Tate, Bell Biv Devoe, Boyz II men, Vanessa Williams, Sherman Hemsley, Allen Payne, Nia Long, BB King, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Isaac Hayes, Robert Guillaume, Vivica A. Fox, Tyler Collins, Donald and Ivana Trump

Please add any other famous people who came on this show
