I think they did it that way on purpose - they've given so many descriptions of her in the third person that it makes the viewer try to imagine her for themselves based on what they've heard. They once said they didn't think they'd ever be able to cast the role perfectly and it was more fun to describe somebody this way without trying to "make" an actress conform to every description.

True, I don't think they'd ever be able to find someone to fit all those descriptions, those were some crazy descriptions

I think in one episode they showed Maris, but she was covered by a veil and a giant hat because she was allergic to the sun or something like that so we never got to see her actual face.

The fact that we never got to see Maris reminded me of how we never got to see Vera, Norm's wife in Cheers. The one time we saw her, her face was covered by a pie.

I liked it whenever the Cheers stars guest starred on Frasier since I like both shows.

yeah they are both great shows. i love how the continuation of fraisers character was so sucessful as a spinoff.

It definitely was the most successful. I love how he ended up playing Frasier for about 20 years. He even made a joke about it in Frasier, " Do you know what it's like to play the same character for 20 years".

thats pretty cool. i'd imagine it was nice to explore the character further in fraiser after playing him for 10 years in cheers.

Yeah, that was cool. My favorite "crossovers" were the episodes Lilith showed up. Those were the best.

I loved it when Lilith showed up. She challenged Frasier and I truly hope they found their way back to each other.

That's how I see what happened ... Frasier went to Boston and reunited with Lilith.
