My favorite characters were: Mark, Carter, Elizabeth, Abby and Luka. My OTP in the show will always be Mark/Elizabeth...but I also fell in love with Luka/Abby I adore Doug/Carol too. And with a few exceptions, I love all the characters...even the "minor" ones.

I will always enjoy S1 to S8. I swear, there's no one single season from those years that I dislike...Those were the best years of ER, imo. I still enjoyed the rest of the series (except for S14, I wish it would disappear in a black hole, lol) mostly because I'm a huge Maura/Abby fan, but ER lost something big for me once Mark died And even more when Carter left. But I couldn't stop watching, the show as a whole already meant a lot for me.

I definitely think that once Mark died the show lost something special. I swear I still cry when they show The Letter and then the one where Mark dies. Carter reading the letter to the ER is one of the best scenes of the show imo.

But Carter and the others kept it going and then once Carter left it definitely wasn't the same. I do love the latter seasons... my OTP, Ray/Neela, came in during the latter ones, but the first seasons were really the best. Nothing can compare to them. I wanted Mark/Susan so bad. bawl: But I LOVED Mark/Elizabeth and Carol/Doug.

I loved the early seasons, I kind of stopped watching after a lot of the main cast left, I tuned in again for the final season.

Oh yes, I can't help to cry every time Carter reads the letter And then, "On the Beach" is one the saddest episodes, yet one of the best, imo *sighs*.

My all-time favorite episode is probably "All in the family" though. It represents everything I love about ER and still makes me heartbroken like the very first time I watched it.

And I agree, nothing compares to the early seaons

Add me please? I was/am a big fan of this show.

I confess I'm more of a newer generation fan, I didn't start watching till season 6 or something, I didn't watch the Clooney years till much later. To date Luka/Abby are the only ship I've seriously supported to get the perfect happy ending, I love them so much.

I shipped Luka/Abby too, but not with the same passion I still ship Mark/Susan and Doug/Carol But that's only because I'm not a huge Abby fan Luka is adorable, though, and he loves her so much, so it's impossible to not want them to be together


You should definitely watch the Clooney years, though, those were THE seasons, the original cast, awwwwwwwwww, they will always be the best to me

Luby is one of only two ships of mine where I have a preference for the guy over the girl, it's usually the other way around. I loved him so much, and his love for her was heart meltingly adorable. They both truly deserved a happy ending, I'm so glad they got it with each other.

Carter always seriously bugged me, I don't know why, my mum was the same.

I must confess, Mark/Susan were very sweet, I always had a soft spot for them.

Carter was so much cooler in the earlier seasons, sure he had his dramatic moments, but he also got some very funny and cute ones. But as the seasons went by he seemed to get more and more emo, I don't know why they did that to him
