Just started watching this again for the first time in a long time. I've only seen the second episode so far but I had completely forgotten that Mike wasn't the mother of the kids on the show. Easy to forget since they called her ma.

I forgot about that too until a few years ago.

She really took on a lot raising kids that weren't her own. Shows how strong of a character she was.

^ Same here! I haven't watched it in over a decade though so the episodes almost feel new again.

That's good quality considering how old the show is. Wished I could rent something for $1 a month now. That was probably a lot of money back then.
I found the complete series in best buy one year and bought it for Christmas for my mom. And even some of the episodes/dics weren't in the best quality and would lag or had no picture. Or the sound would be off from the picture. __________________

$1 rent, I know! Where was that when I was a starving college student.
Just discovered it's available on Amazon. +++ __________________

Thanks for the gif-sets. It really sucks when older shows aren't given the respect they deserve when they're converted to DVD.
I really like how this show respected Native Americans and gave them a pov without villianizing everyone in the town. I don't think we'd see something like that on TV nowadays. __________________

I'm blaming this thread for my current DQMW binge watch. Ughhhh...it still hits me emotional watching this.
Currently watching season 2's Boston episode. I love Sully and Dr. Mike. +++ __________________

This show brings back memories. Every Sat night my mom would bake cinnamon rolls and we would have cinnamon rolls and watch this show. __________________
